TTT #404 | Satisfying Book Series

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Satisfying Book Series. I’m not sure yet which direction I will go in for this one, but I always love to talk about amazing book series. So let’s jump in!

The Hunger Games

While it might be weird to call this series satisfying, I do think it’s really satisfying to see how it all comes full circle. Especially now with the newer books, all the themes and how it is all connected. I think that is very satisfying indeed.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone

The second book in this series might’ve been even better than the first book. There is no weaker book and it was very satisfying to read how some of the characters got exactly what they deserved!

The School for Good and Evil

It was very satisfying to read how certain themes were exactly the other way around. I also loved that this one clearly showed that beauty doesn’t equal being good. And we got some cool twists! I definitely need to read the companion series soon.

The Naturals

Oh how I wish I could read this series for the first time again! I also wish I had more people to talk to about this series. As a Criminal Minds fan this was such a great story. And especially the third book was so so satisfying!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

For me it was really satisfying to see a girl like Lara Jean being the main character and getting a boyfriend like Peter Kavinsky. I adore this series and I loved the movies. This is still one of my absolute favorite YA contemporaries.

Throne of Glass

For me this comes pretty close to perfection and it was really satisfying to get to the end after years of reading the series. I also don’t want to read this for the first time again, because rereading makes the experience better than the first time. To find all the foreshadowing is so satisfying and even on my current read I found new things!

Six of Crows

Another case of seeing it all come together! I adore this series and I can’t wait for the new book that’s coming (even though it’s only 64 pages). Reading the plans and seeing what happened and how it all still worked out, I could read it again and again and again. Even if I really hate one part of the ending.

Nevernight

I would say that a revenge story is usually pretty satisfying and this wasn’t anything other than just that. This series is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it yet. I also really enjoyed the footnotes and it was great to get all these extra bits of information about the world.

Some of my favorite series I didn’t include, because I would describe them as a lot of things but not satisfying haha. These all are really satisfying in my opinion and I would love to hear what you think about my choices down below!

  1. The only one of these I’ve read is ‘Hunger Games’. I may not be a fan, but I’ll admit it was rather satisfying at times. I’m going to be reading ‘Throne of Glass’ sometime in the next few months. I had intended to begin ACOTAR this month but I found out ‘Throne of Glass’ exists and, apparently, needs to be read first. This is the second post I’ve read, and ‘Throne of Glass’ is on both, so I’m guessing it’s a good book lol.

Love your header btw. Absolutely gorgeous!
