Bookhaul | July 2025

Another month is over! How is this possible? However, that does mean that it’s time to talk about the books we added to our shelves last month. Keep on reading for our July bookhaul!

Candyce

In July I added 9 books to my shelves. I’ve already read two of these and I’m working on a third at the moment. So I’m definitely making good progress already. Let’s see what I added to my collection.

Broken by Daylight – Elizabeth Helen

After devouring the first three books in this series, I needed to buy the fourth book. I know this is going to end on another major cliffhanger and the next book doesn’t release until next year. It’s going to be a long wait!

Wicked & Wildflower – Sarah A. Bailey

Last month I added Heathen & Honeysuckle to my shelves. This first print was supposed to arrive with that one, but it took a few weeks before this one arrived. Another stunning book. I really hope I love this series as much as my friends do.

Rose in Chains – Julie Soto

I’m so glad I got this stunning Fairyloot edition! I love it more than the US and UK covers. I know this used to be a fan fiction. I’ve seen some mixed reviews, but I’m still really excited to give this a try.

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil – V.E. Schwab

V.E. Schwab is one of my favorite authors, so I didn’t even have to think about adding this one to my collection. I will say I’m happy I got the Fairyloot edition, because I didn’t love the cover for this one. I’ve heard so many amazing things about Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil and I’m excited to sit down with it.

Heir of Storms – Lauryn Hamilton Murray

Another stunning Fairyloot edition (they really outdid themselves this month) and this book sounds amazing. Our main character summoned a storm that left thousands dead. She was hidden away after that. Until there’s an invitation to her and her twin brother to compete to rulers. We all know this is going to be amazing!

The Thursday Murder Club – Richard Osman

I’ve been curious about this series for quite some time, but the fact that we’re getting a Netflix adaptation has me wanting to read it a bit sooner. I love the fact that four people in a retirement village come together to investigate unsolved murders. It’s going to get interesting when the get involved in a live case.

Maid for Each Other – Lynn Painter

Lynn Painter is one of my favorite authors, so I had to pick up her new release. Maid for Each Other was actually out a week early at my favorite bookstore, so I couldn’t resist bringing it home for me. I don’t think I’ve read a millionaire and house cleaner romance. I have a feeling it’s going to be a lot of fun.

Watch Your Back – Tate James

Watch Your Back is the sequel to Dear Reader. I haven’t read these yet and I won’t until the third and final book is out in September. Tate James is known for her cliffhangers, so I want to be able to binge these books. I also got the first print, so it has pretty sprayed edges.

Anywhere You Go – Bridget Morrissey

Anywhere You Go has such a colorful cover that I had to order the physical copy to read for my swoonalong discussion. It’s also very floppy, and that’s something I love. This book sounds a book like a summertime The Holiday. I have a feeling I’ll love it!

Isabelle

In July I once again didn’t add any new physical books to my shelves! And I think that makes sense, I haven’t been reading that much and I still have a ton of books left to read so it doesn’t feel great to add more books to that TBR. I did however get one new audiobook!

Audible

We Are All Guilty Here – Karin Slaughter

This book has multiple publishing dates, in the USA I believe it doesn’t release until August. In the Netherlands we usually get the Dutch translation before the book is published in English, but not this time around. Somehow I was already able to get the audiobook this month and I’m super excited to dive in!

So that’s our July bookhaul! Did you get any of these? Or what books did you add to your shelves? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!
