With two days left in July it’s time for us to talk about our most anticipated August releases. So far this year has been packed with books that sounds amazing, but is August just as busy? Keep on reading to see what August releases we’re really excited about!

Accomplice to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer (August 5th)

The third book in the Assistant to the Villain series! For a bit I thought this was going to be a trilogy, but I was wrong! There will at least be four books. Good to know before going in because the first two books had pretty big cliffhangers and I would hate the be surprised with a cliffhanger while thinking it’s the end of the series haha.

Zomromcom – Olivia Dade (August 5th)

Spoiler Alert is one of my favorite books and it was written by Olivia Dade. I’m really excited to see she’s giving us a paranormal romance. A zombie outbreak happens and our main character has to team up with her neighbor who just happens to be a vampire. That’s going to be interesting!

Warrior Princess Assassin – Brigid Kemmerer (August 12th)

I haven’t read a lot by Brigid Kemmerer, but I’ve really enjoyed the YA books she’s written. Warrior Princess Assassin is her adult fantasy debut. I’ve seen some very positive early reviews and I’m excited to read this book.

We Are All Guilty Here – Karin Slaughter (August 12th)

I love all of Karin Slaughter’s books and I can’t wait to dive into this one! This is the start to a new series, so while I’m sad we won’t be reading about Sara and Will I am excited to meet some new characters.

Once a Villain – Vanessa Len (August 19th)

Only a Monster was such a pleasant surprise and one of my favorite books of 2022! Once a Villain is the final book in the trilogy and I was lucky enough to already read an eARC before the release. I really enjoyed this one and I can’t wait for more readers to experience it!

Love Arranged – Lauren Asher (August 19th)

The first two Lakefront Billionaires books were so much fun, so I’ve been excited for this third and final book in the series. Lorenzo is a character we’ve met in the previous books and I’m excited for his story.

The Executioner’s Three – Susan Dennard (August 26th)

Susan Dennard wrote one of my favorite books with Truthwitch and while I’m ashamed to admit I haven’t caught up with the series yet, I am really excited for this new book! This is a mystery with a rivalry between schools, a murder and a centuries old curse. Sign me up!

Katabasis – R.F. Kuang (August 26th)

I have loved all the R.F. Kuang books I’ve read so far, so of course I’m excited for this newest release. Knowing this is about academic rivals having to travel to Hell to save their professor’s soul makes it even more exciting!

The Entanglement of Rival Wizards – Sara Raasch (August 26th)

Ali Hazelwood meets Dungeons & Dragons? Yes, please! I’ve enjoyed books by Sara Raasch and they were so much fun, so I can’t resist this rival wizards romance.
