We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I had the last week and a half off of work. It was so nice, and I wasn’t looking forward to going back today, haha. We started our time off with our monthly book club. Then we had a few very hot days. Let’s say I wasn’t enjoying it at all. So we mostly stayed inside and tried to stay as cool as possible.

So of course on the hottest day we had to go out. We got tickets to see Taylor Tomlinson with friends. The show was great and we laughed a lot. In the end we were happy we went, because the venue was nice and cool. It was a great little break from the heat. We also tried a new restaurant a couple of days after that, and to wrap up our vacation, we had friends over on Saturday to play some games. Now we work 9 weeks before our longer vacation! Hopefully it goes by quickly.

It’s shocking, but I didn’t add any new eARCs to my Kindle in these last two weeks. Which is a good thing, I am trying to catch up!

Since my last Royal Update I read: Marlowe Banks Redesigned, Sleeping Giants, The Stars Between Us, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Swept Away, The Gilded Cage, Prince of the Arena, Comeback, Forged by Malice, The Wish Switch, Not Quite Dead Yet, Sweet Addiction, and Not Safe for Work.

I’m currently reading: Chasing Riddick, Backhanded Compliments, and All the Lies.

Next I want to read: Broken by Daylight, Those We Drown, and Anywhere You Go.

During our movie night last week we watched The Green Book. This was based on a true story and it was a beautiful movie. I’m glad the boyfriend picked this one.

I didn’t work this last week and a half, so I didn’t listen to music much. One morning while getting ready, I did listen to Benson Boone’s new album. I really enjoyed this one and I’ll be listening again during to my commute to work this week.
