Royal Update #276

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

These last two weeks were mostly filled with work for me. It’s been busy and I also had to go get my new residency permit. So that gave me a couple of outings. Last week, we picked up my aunt and her husband from the airport. They stayed with us Friday and left this morning. The last time I saw her was 11 years ago, so it was nice catching up and just having time with her. I actually didn’t take a single picture while she was here. Hopefully it doesn’t take 11 years before we see them again. The rosebush in our backyard is really pretty right now, so I do want to share a picture of that!

Apparently it’s the month of collecting eARCs, because once again I’ve added quite a few to my Kindle (17 in total). The Brave and the Reckless, Red Card, Fall I Want, A Land So Wide, Wrath of the Dragons, Sweet Heat, Kooky Spooky Love, Everything She Does Is Magic, Not Quite Dead Yet, The Book of Blood and Roses, Bed and Breakup, How to Break My Heart, A Spell for Midwinter’s Heart, Every Step She Takes, Spectacular Things, When I Picture You, and Backhanded Compliments.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve read: Tear This Down, Shield of Sparrows, Last Gamer Standing, My Friends, Archimancy, We Dream of Space, Silver Elite, The Cookie Crumbles, Bonded by Thorns, I See You’ve Called in Dead, and The Prison Healer.

I’m currently reading: It’s a Love Story, This Book Will Bury Me, The Tenant, and All Your Twisted Secrets.

Next I plan on reading: The Girl with All the Gifts, The Knight and the Moth, and Not Safe for Work.

I finally finished the first season of You! It’s been a year (or maybe even two) since I started watching that show. The ending wasn’t what I was expecting, so I’m excited to continue. We also finished 9-1-1: Lonestar! It was a good ending, but I am sad it’s over.

For movies we watched Novocaine and Unfrosted. Both were a lot of fun! I recommend them both!

I’ve still been enjoying my 00s playlist. The songs do keep changing, so it keeps the list refreshed.

So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Read or watch anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
