WWW Wednesday #87

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Silver Elite – Dani Francis

Silver Elite is the start of a new dystopian romance series that I’ve been seeing everywhere. So before I could get spoiled about anything and making sure I read it quickly because I have an eARC, I devoured this book. Wren has always had psychic abilities, but has had to hide them. When things go wrong and she has to work with the enemy, things get interesting. The world, the abilities, the politics, and the touch of romance we get were so good! I need the sequel now.

The Cookie Crumbles – Tracy Badua & Alechia Dow

It’s still middle grade May, so I’ve been working on some middle grade stories. The Cookie Crumbles is one I’ve wanted to read since I heard about it last year. This is a cute middle grade mystery, but it wasn’t one that had me very invested unfortunately. I do still want to read the sequel.

What are you currently reading?

The Tenant – Freida McFadden

Freida McFadden is a popular author and so far I’ve read two books by her. I loved one and didn’t love the other, so I decided to read The Tenant to see where this one lands. I’m about 30% in right now and I’m intrigued. I’m curious to see where this goes and I’m definitely questioning whether the roommate is really this evil or if our narrator is a little unreliable.

It’s a Love Story – Annabel Monaghan

I’m also currently reading my eARC of It’s a Love Story. I loved Summer Romance, so I was so excited to read another book by Annabel Monaghan. Jane just really wants to make it and have her first script green lit for production. Things don’t seem to be going as planned, so she’s forced to spend time with Dan (a man who she’s had a little history with) to hopefully make a promise come true. So far this one is giving me a five star feeling.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Bonded by Thorns – Elizabeth Helen

Bonded by Thorns is my swoonalong read for May, so it’s time to sit down and read this one. All I know is it’s a Beauty and the Beast retelling with a why choose romance. That’s all I need to know. I have a feeling I’m going to fly through this one.

The Prison Healer – Lynette Noni

The Prison Healers is the first book in the trilogy I’ll be reading with my series slayers group. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about these books, so I’m really excited. I’m going in a bit blind, but that’s how I love going into new fantasy worlds.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
