WWW Wednesday #86

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Mickey7 – Edward Ashton

Mickey7 was my book club’s read for April, but our meeting wasn’t until last weekend. Which I ended up missing because of our furniture being ready five weeks earlier than planned. This was an interesting story, but I guess Mickey7 was missing something for me. I feel like we didn’t go really deep into some aspects and I was left with quite a few questions.

What are you currently reading?

Binding 13 – Chloe Walsh

The Boys of Tommen series has been everywhere. I’ve been so curious, but also intimidated by these stories. At this very moment, I’ve read almost 600 pages. This story is very character driven and I know it’s about to hurt, but I get the hype about Johnny and Shannon’s story.

Normal People – Sally Rooney

I’ve been wanting to read more literary fiction, and Sally Rooney is one of the first authors to come to mind. So far I’ve read about half of the book and I will say it took some getting used to. Rooney writes without quotation marks when characters talk. I am invested in the story though. I will read more by this author.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Shield of Sparrows – Devney Perry

Devney Perry has written quite a few romances that I loved, and Shield of Sparrows is her first fantasy romance. I’ve heard so many good things about this book from people who received ARCs. I’ll be reading Shield of Sparrows with my Discord book club this week.

The Survivor Wants to Die at the End – Adam Silvera

I was surprised when Adam Silvera announced new books in this series, so of course I had to preoder The Survivor Wants to Die at the End. I know this will be another book that makes me cry, but I have to read them.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
