Bookish Item | Formula 1 Romances

As you might know, I’m a big Formula 1 fan. I watch all the Grand Prix’s and I’ve been to 2 of them. This weekend is all about the Miami Grand Prix. So when I came across an article about Formula 1 romance novels I had to share some with you. I’m currently reading one of them and I plan on reading more. So let’s take a look!

Pole Position – Rebecca J. Caffery

This is the one I’m currently reading! It’s a romance between 2 teammates and its enemies-to-lovers. There are a lot of elements I enjoy so far, hopefully it’ll keep going like this! I really like seeing F1 stuff in the book (even though some of it is incorrect haha). If I’m correct, this is the only MM romance on this list (and that is a shame, so I could use some more recommendations!).

Double Apex – Josie Juniper

A race engineer with her new team driver, I love a smart girl so this one excites me for sure. There will also be a ‘sequel’ coming this year that focuses on a journalist and a team principal. That sounds even better haha.

Cross the Line – Simone Soltani

I really like the cover of this one! This has the brother’s best friend trope, one I do like for sure. But the ‘sequel’ that will be released later this month has a marriage of convenience and that is one of my favorite romance tropes.

Always a Bridesmaid – Marina Adair

This one feels really out of place, probably because of the title haha. After diving in some of the reviews, I feel like the F1 bit is hardly there. The author has written a lot of romance books as well as sports romances in different sports, so I wonder how much she knows about Formula 1.

Offtrack – Esha Patel

This is the only one I’ve seen with a female driver, I really love that aspect for this one. Although I saw some reviews saying “she didn’t want to overtake the other drivers because they were nice to her” and that is not it for me. So I’m not sure I will be picking this one up.

The Winning Formula – Cara Veloce

Another one with a race engineer and a driver, it seems like one of the more convenient ways of having the main characters interact. This is a free to listen on Audible book and I believe the male main character was inspired by Daniel Ricciardo, my favorite F1 driver.

Lights Out – Jenni Fletcher

An F1 bad boy and a psychology student. I’m intrigued for sure! But I also wonder why all the male love interests have to be bad boys who never wanted a relationship until the met the female love interest….

Fast & Reckless – Amanda Weaver

I really hate this cover haha. This has friends-to-lovers with the daughter of the team principal and a driver. There will be a ‘sequel’ that has enemies-to-lovers with coworkers, a trope I enjoy a lot!

Off the Grid – K. Bromberg

There are 4 books in this series and they all sound pretty good, the reviews are mostly positive and they’re all on Kindle Unlimited if I’m not mistaken. I will definitely try this one! This first book is about a driver and the daughter of the team principal that has come back to work in F1.

Throttled – Lauren Asher

This was the first Formula 1 romance I heard about and I do own a copy of the ebook. I definitely plan on reading this one! There are 4 books in the series, all focusing on different couples. This first one has a sister and her brother’s biggest rival for the championship (who is also his teammate).

This is just the tip of the iceberg, I already found many more on Goodreads and I’m really curious haha. I would love to hear if you read any of these, or if you have any other recommendations for me! Let me know down below!
