It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
The Griffin Sisters’ Greatest Hits – Jennifer Weiner
I was a teenager in the early 00s where most of this book takes place, and I loved that this fictional music duo had their career start then. These two sisters took the music world by storm and there was also a lot of drama and secrets. We get dual timelines, multiple POV, and some magazine/newspaper articles. I loved seeing names of stars that were popular then. Not all of the characters were likable, but I was hooked from the start. I’ll be reading more by this author.
Apprentice to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer
Assistant to the Villain was a fun fantasy that had a surprising ending, so I’m not really sure why it took me so long to read Apprentice to the Villain. This sequel was filled with action, a little romance, family, and the frog Kingsley who steals the show. The short chapters make it easy to fly through this book that’s also filled with enough twists that you can’t stop reading anyways. The ending of this left me wanting more. I can’t wait for the third book!
What are you currently reading?
This doesn’t happen often, but I’m actually only reading one book right now. I don’t know how that happened, haha.
A Whole New Ball Game – Stephanie Rose
Stephanie Rose is a new to me author and when I saw the sign up for her newest book, A Whole New Ball Game, I had to give it a try. Our FMC is a romance author and our MMC is a former baseball player turned team manager. They end up having a meet cute and spend an amazing day and night together. Neither of them are open to a relationship, but fate seems to want them together. So far I’m having a great time with Rachel and Silas.
What do you think you’ll read next?
My mood has been all over the place with reading and I can’t quite seem to plan my next reads anymore. That’s not a bad thing though, because I’ve been loving just picking up what I want to in that moment. Here are a couple that have been catching my eye though.
Wild and Wrangled – Lyla Sage
Cowboy romances have become something I love, and I’ve been wanting Wild and Wrangled since I finished Lost and Lassoed. Cam is a character we’ve seen through the whole series and I always felt like she wasn’t with who she was supposed to be. The ending of Lost and Lassoed proved that. And that’s where Dusty comes along and I have a feeling this is going to be an amazing love story. I’m sad it’s the last book of the series!
The Will of the Many – James Islington
The Will of the Many has been on quite a few of my TBRs, because it’s one I’m really curious about. It’s been on a lot of people’s favorites lists and I hear so many people talk about the ending of this book. So I need to find out what this is all about.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
