WWW Wednesday #80

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Deep End – Ali Hazelwood

I love when one of my favorite authors publishes a new book and Deep End was everything I wanted and more. Scarlett and Lukas were both such interesting characters. This was an easy five star read for me. The only thing I would’ve wanted differently was Lukas’ POV. I wanted more than the one we got. That’s just a preference of mine though. If you’re looking for a spicy sports romance, I highly suggest reading Deep End.

Dream Girl Drama – Tessa Bailey

Tessa Bailey tends to be a hit or miss author for me, but so far the Big Shots series has been a hit. While I was excited for Sig and Chloe’s story, I was also a little worried. I shouldn’t have been though, because this story was amazing. While it was a bit of insta love, it was also slow burn at the same time. These two really became best friends and I really appreciated everything about this book.

What are you currently reading?

Boyfriend Material – Alexis Hall

I actually started reading this book in 2022, but I ended up getting distracted. So I started Boyfriend Material again during my commute on Monday and I’m loving it. At the moment I’m about 100 pages in and I’m glad I decided to pick it back up!

Vows & Ruins – Helen Scheuerer

Last month I read Blood & Steel, the first book of The Legends of Thezmarr series, and I loved it. I’m not someone that normally read a series back to back, but I couldn’t not start Vows & Ruins. The second book starts almost right after the first book ended. Thea and Hawthorne are great characters and there have already been some really interesting reveals.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Mercenary & the Mortician – Alexandra St. Pierre

All I know about The Mercenary & the Mortician is that it’s a paranormal dark romance. I kind of want to go into this one blind. Friends of mine have already read this one and loved it, so I hope I do as well.

A Torch Against the Night – Sabaa Tahir

I’ll be continuing my reread of An Ember in the Ashes this month. A Torch Against the Night is the next book in the series and I’m curious to see how many details I’ve forgotten since reading it for the first time.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
