WWW Wednesday #74

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

The Thrashers – Julie Soto

Do you ever just get in the mood for a certain book and have to pick it up at that exact moment? Well, I had that with my eARC of The Thrashers. This book doesn’t release until May of next year, but it just popped in my head and I couldn’t resist. I read the first 40% in one sitting and finished it the next day. The Thrashers are an interesting group of people and as the book goes on you really don’t know what to believe. I’m not completely sure what to think of the ending, but all in all, I had a great time.

Once Upon a Christmas Tree – Lulu Moore

I’m loving everything Christmas related at the moment, so when I saw that the audiobook of Once Upon a Christmas Tree was available on Storytel, I had to give it a try. Novellas and short stories tend to be hit or miss for me. While I did enjoy most of Alexander and Haven’s story, the spicy scenes kind of took over the story. I really would’ve loved a full novel of them getting to know each other during the holiday season. This was the start of a new series, and I’m curious enough to read the first book when it releases.

What are you currently reading?

Flopping in a Winter Wonderland – Jason June

While reading Flopping in a Winter Wonderland I’ve decided that I want to move to the island near Alaska that is Winter Wonderland. It’s everything Christmas and that would make me very happy, haha. Besides that I’m really enjoying this story. Aaron only wants his brother to be happy again after his breakup and all Kris wants is his uncle to come back to Winter Wonderland and be the first gay Santa. This story is making me happy and I should be finished soon.

My Dark Romeo – Parker S. Huntington & L.J. Shen

At the moment I’m only about 50 pages into Dallas and Romeo’s story and so far I’m enjoying it. This arranged marriage is going to be an interesting one. It’ll be interesting to see if we get a happily ever after.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Witch King – Martha Wells

I should already be reading Witch King when this gets posted, but it is up next on my TBR. Witch King is my book club’s book for this month. I’m kind of scared to read this one, because most of my book club hasn’t really enjoyed this one so far. Hopefully, I’m the odd one out and enjoy the book.

A Curse for True Love – Stephanie Garber

I’m finishing up the Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy. After the ending of book two I’ve been kind of scared to pick this one up. So much needs to happen! I know this one has had some mixed reviews, but I’m excited to see how everything will wrap up.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read any amazing books lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Oh no! That’s a shame about the rest of your book club, hopefully you enjoy it. I bought Witch King on my last bookstore visit although I’m saving it for December, I love her writing though so I have high hopes!
