TTT #365| Destination Titles

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is destination titles, so titles with names of places. I think I’m going to have to think about this one.

Somewhere Beyond the Sea – TJ Klune

I’d say the sea is a destination, haha. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to go. And after reading The House in the Cerulean Sea, I would definitely go live there with all of my favorite characters.

Grimstone – Sophie Lark

I’m currently reading Grimstone and it’s perfect for spooky season. Grimstone was once a beautiful house, but now it’s falling apart and may be haunted? I’m excited to figure out where this is going to go.

Death at Morning House -Maureen Johnson

Solving a murder while working on an island sounds like a lot of pressure. Maureen Johnson has written some of my favorite YA mysteries, and I’m expecting to love this one just as much.

The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea – Axie Oh

The idea of a magical realm underneath the see has me so curious. The Girl Beneath the Sea sounds like it’s going to be a majestic fantasy read. I’ve enjoyed XOXO by this author in the past.

Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands – Heather Fawcett

Cozy fantasy books are the best during the darker, colder months. I loved Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries and I can’t wait to read her next adventure to the Otherlands, I think? The third book in this series is releasing next year, so it’s time to catch up!

The Kingdom of Sweets – Erika Johansen

I actually bought The Kingdom of Sweets to read last year before going to see The Nutcracker. I ended up getting sick before then, so I never got around to reading this one. We’re getting closer to the perfect season for this book, and I’m excited for this re-imagining.

So I only got to six of ten books this week and they’re not all destination necessarily. It’s the best I could do that! What fictional world would you love to visit? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
