It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Incidents Around the House – Josh Malerman
Horror isn’t a genre I gravitate towards, but it’s spooky season and it’s good to step outside your comfort zone now and then. Incidents Around the House is told from a child’s (Bela) POV and it’s truly creepy. Even though this isn’t my normal read, I have to say it was good.
Haunted Ever After – Jen DeLuca
Another spooky season read. Except this time it’s more of a cute and spooky romance. Our main character moves to Boneyard Key. Cassie buys a house that’s been empty for quite some time, but was recently renovated. This house seems to be haunted and we get some ghost business and a cute romance. I would’ve loved to have gotten more of the romance, but all in all, a cute and fast read.

The Marriage Hex – Sarah Blue
To continue some spooky season reading, I had to pick up The Marriage Hex. I’m about halfway through this one and I’m having fun. We have witches, werewolves, a hex, and an alpha wanting peace. I’ll be surprised if this isn’t a five star read for me.
Metal Slinger – Rachel Schneider
Metal Slinger is a book I keep seeing online and it sounds so good. At the moment I’m about 100 pages in, and loving it! I’m already obsessed with the world and characters. I also have so many questions! I think I may regret reading this one before knowing when the second book is releasing though.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Daisy Haites – Jessa Hastings
Magnolia Parks was a book I picked up and couldn’t put down. Even though it’s filled with drama and characters I didn’t like, it worked. I now really want to continue with the series. Daisy is a character we meet in Magnolia Parks, and I hear a lot of people love her more.
The Ashes & the Star-Cursed King – Carissa Broadbent
The Songbird & the Heart of Stone releases in November and I have an eARC. Even though I know it’s the start of a new duet, I really want to complete the first duet before sitting down to read it. This month I read Six Scorched Roses, so I’m ready to sit down and read The Ashes & the Star-Cursed King.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read any amazing books lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
