The phenomenal fifth book in the Hunger Games series!
Sunrise on the Reaping revisits the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.
I was really surprised to see I hadn’t talked about this one yet! Since reading the second book in the original Hunger Games trilogy I have been interested in Haymitch’s games. And now it looks like we will be getting just that! This newest instalment in the Hunger Games series is set during Haymitch’s games so I’m going to assume that we will get his POV and follow him.
I love the original Hunger Games trilogy so so much and I have read the books multiple times. They are so good (and so heartbreaking) and they are the books that got me into book blogs. I am so grateful for this book series and I’m so grateful we are getting another story. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was an amazing prequel and I actually really liked that book. So I have high hopes for this one!
