TTT #355| Books Involving Food

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books Involving Food. There are a few I can think of on my TBR, but I’m not sure I’ll make the complete ten for this week’s post. Let’s take a look!

The Pairing – Casey McQuiston

In The Pairing our main characters are two exes who accidentally end up on the same European wine and food tour. I know food won’t be the main part of this book, but I am expecting it to play some part in this story. It wouldn’t surprise me if this book makes me hungry, haha.

Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake – Alexis Hall

Rosaline ends up participating in a beloved baking show and is hoping to go home with the prize. I love watching baking and cooking competitions, so add it to a book and I’m sold. That we also get romance in this one is only icing on the cake!

Sadie on a Plate – Amanda Elliot

In Sadie on a Plate our main character is well known in the Seattle restaurant scene. After a public breakup, she ends up on her favorite TV show, Chef Supreme. Like I just said, I love cooking competitions, so sign me up!

Knives, Seasoning, and a Dash of Love – Katrina Kwan

Besides books where our characters go on reality show, we also have a rival romance. Eden was recently hired as a sous chef (after not being completely honest on her resume) and she knows her hot celebrity chef of a boss from before he became famous. This is going to be interesting.

Love from Scratch – Kaitlyn Hill

In Love from Scratch our main character lands an internship on a marketing team for the popular cooking channel, Friends of Flavor. Add in the attraction to her rival intern and things could get interesting.

The Christmas Crush – Noelle Douglas

The Christmas Crush sounds like a story I’d see while watching a Hallmark Christmas movie and I love that! Our main character is a small town baker and this one involves a cookie competition? Need I say more?!?

So here are some books on my TBR that involve food! Like I said, I wasn’t expecting to be able to talk about ten books, but these are six I’m really excited to read. Have you read any of these? Or do you have any recommendations? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
