Down the TBR Hole #132

I just did my last Down the TBR Hole post, so nothing has changed on my want to read shelf since my last post. I’m still not adding to this shelf, so I’ll take that as a win!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 656 (my last post ended at 656. So that’s the same as at the end of the last post.)

The Invisible Library – Genevieve Cogman

Batman: Nightwalker – Marie Lu

Catwoman: Soulstealer – Sarah J. Maas

A Tragic Kind of Wonderful – Eric Lindstrom

I didn’t remove as many books this round as I have the last few times, but the ones I did take off of my shelf, are books I’ve either unhauled or don’t own. It’s interesting to see what books I’m running into now that I’m going through this shelf the second time around.

Removal Percentage: 40%
Current “to-read” shelf: 652

I wonder if I’ll be able to get under the 600 books on my want to read shelf before the end of the year. If I keep on removing four our more books from my shelf every post, I should be able to hit this goal. Have you read any of these books? Should I make a different decision? Or which book should I read first? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
