Royal Update #236

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Work has been busy with colleagues off on vacation, so I’ve mostly been relaxing when I got home. I did have book club which was, as always, fun to go to. Just about all of us enjoyed the book, so that’s a win. Last weekend I worked on Saturday and spent the rest of the week relaxing. I went to Starbucks after work on Saturday and now have a new name, haha. About five more weeks to go before I have my own vacation!

This time I’ve only added one new eARC to my Kindle, but it’s one I’m really excited about:

Since my last Royal Update I’ve read: If You Hate Me, A Sign of Affection Vol. 9, His and Hers, The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet, A Thousand Miles, Pucked, City of Nightmares, The Last Mrs. Parrish, The Wren in the Holly Library, A Condition Called Love Vol. 5, It Started with a Book, How to Make Friends with the Dark, and Asking for a Friend.

I’m currently reading: Magnolia Parks, The Au Pair Affair, American Royals, Silent Sister, and House of Earth and Blood (reread).

Next I plan on reading: The Dead Guy Next Door, Better than the Movies (reread), and House of Frank.

As I talked about a couple of months ago, I got a Kobo Color Libra. I’m loving this eReader and I’ve already read for over 80 hours on it. I’ve also started highlighting things, so I finally decided to get a pen for this one. I can also doodle and annotate with it as well. I’m still trying things out.

I couldn’t resist watching A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and I’m enjoying it. This reminds me that I need to read the third and final book of this series. When I recently read that we’re getting a second Freaky Friday movie, I needed to re-watch the first one. It was great way to relax on Saturday evening after work.

These last two weeks I’ve been listening to different things, but I’ve really been enjoying this Lindsey Stirling playlist. We’re going to her concert in October and I’m excited!

So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Have you read or watched anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
