We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
Unfortunately, I was right after my last Royal Update. I mentioned I was under the weather and I was sick a day later. So that week wasn’t very exciting. That weekend I was feeling good enough to have two friends over to play board games. Last weekend we had our monthly game night that was also pretty fun. We only played one game though. It took us the whole time and we ended up losing a turn or two before we would’ve won. Everyone has a good time though, and that’s all that matters.
My Netgalley ratio isn’t happy with me this week (well it only went down 1%), but I’ve been approved for 9 new eARCs since my last Royal Update: The Book Swap, A Fire in the Sky, Strange Beasts, Nothing Like the Movies, Make My Wish Come True, Christmas Is All Around, Love on Paper, Brewed with Love, and While We’re Young.
Since my last Royal Update I’ve read: Summer Romance, Cat + Gamer Vol. 5, Yours Truly, Bad Tourists, The Library of Borrowed Hearts, Mile High, The Midnight Library, The Summer She Went Missing, The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year, A Tempest of Tea, Love Unwritten, The Backtrack, and Traitor.
I’m currently reading: If You Hate Me, The Wren in the Holly Library, and Wish You Weren’t Here.
This week I’ll be reading: Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend, City of Nightmares, and Catch the Sun.
While I was sick and during the warmer days I’ve been watching some Hallmark Christmas movies. I’m typing this on Sunday and we’ll be watching The Idea of You. I’ll have to let you know what I think of it in my next Royal Update.
Cassadee Pope is a singer I enjoy, so I was definitely curious about her new album. There are some good songs on this one.
So that’s another Royal Update! How have you been? Have you read or watched anything amazing recently? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
