At the moment I’m typing this, I’m at the same amount of books on my want to read shelf as I was in my last post. That being said, I’m getting this one scheduled really soon after the one before this, so I’m not upset about that.
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Current “to-read” shelf: 668 (my last post ended at 668. So that’s the same as at the end of the last post.)

This week was filled with books I’ve either unhauled or haven’t really thought about in years. The four I did keep are books that I still physically own and I want to give a try.
Removal Percentage: 60%
Current “to-read” shelf: 662
It’s interesting to see what books I added to this shelf years ago. Once again I was able to remove over half of the books on my want to read shelf. Have you read any of these? Would you have made a different choice? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
