Tag| Bookish UNO

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve done any kind of bookish tag, but I recently saw a bookish UNO on anovelaccount’s post on Instagram. I used to love playing this card game as a kid, so I thought it’d be fun to do these prompt on the blog. Let’s take a look!

Draw 4
A series on my TBR with 4 or more books

For this one I’m going to put down the Magnolia Parks Universe series. It’s five books now and I think we’re getting at least one more book? I know this series is filled with a lot of drama and toxic relationships, but many people say it’s a series they can’t put down.

Wild
A book on my TBR that is not my usual genre

I’m not normally a non fiction reader, but Diary of a Dying Girl caught my eye. After reading Five Feet Apart with two characters who had CF, this is a true story about someone. She told her journey through diary entries and they were published after she passed away. I have a feeling this is going to be an emotional ride.

Skip
A book on my TBR I keep putting off

Kingdom of Ash is the final book in the Throne of Glass series and I’ve had it since release day. Isabelle and I went to the bookstore together to pick it up. Throne of Glass is one of my favorite series and for some reason I keep putting this one off. I guess I just don’t want the series to end? I’m going to try and read this before the end of next month. It’s time!

Reverse
A book on my TBR set in a different world

I’ve had the Starbound trilogy on my TBR for almost eight years now and I believe it takes place on a spaceship, so definitely in another world I guess? These were definitely cover buys, but I know a few people who have loved these. I should add them to my priority list for the last half of the year.

Draw 2
A duology on my TBR

I have a lot of trilogies on my TBR and really had to think of a duology. After loving the Letters of Enchantment duology, I really want to read more by Rebecca Ross. I already had the first book in the Elements of Cadence duology on my shelves. A River Enchanted is one I want to read soon and if I love it, I’ll get the sequel.

Numbers
A book on my TBR with a number in the title

I have the first five books in the Boys of Tommen series on my shelves and they all have numbers in the title. People seem to either love this one or don’t really connect to the characters. All of these books are huge, so they’ll keep me busy for a bit.

So that’s bookish UNO and it was pretty fun to do! Did you have a favorite card game growing up? Or what would your answer be to one of these prompts? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
