5 On My TBR| Beach Read

As we’ve mentioned before, one of our most important reading goals of is shrinking our physical TBR’s. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books we still have or what subjects to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is beach read. I’m someone who thinks beach reads are either light and fluffy romances or thrillers. Here are five beach reads on my TBR!

You and Me On Vacation – Emily Henry

Besides Funny Story (which just released at the end of April), You and Me On Vacation is the only Emily Henry book I haven’t read. The world vacation in this title makes it give me vacation vibes. I mean our main characters go on vacation together. Things didn’t go great between these two friends and one last vacation will determine if they can patch things up and maybe add romance to their relationship, or part ways.

Summer Reading – Jenn McKinlay

How can Summer Reading not be a beach read when the cover has our two main characters on the beach with a book? I mean the male main character is a librarian! Need I say more? I wanted to read this book last summer, but never got around to it. I will be reading it this year.

The Guncle Abroad – Steven Rowley

The Guncle was such a heartwarming and emotional book and it’s one I think about frequently. This time the Guncle is back in Italy where his brother is about to get married. His niece and nephew are having a hard time with this and he’s going to try and help them deal with their emotions and teach them about love. I’m hoping to love this one as much as I did The Guncle.

Seven Summers – Paige Toon

Seven Summers is about a couple who meet one summer and experience something traumatic together. They both have their own lives, but promise to meet together every summer. Then Liv meets a new man in her hometown. I’m not much of a fan of love triangles, but I’m so interested in seeing how this will all play out.

This Summer Will Be Different – Carley Fortune

Another book that seems to take place during the summer! So a perfect beach read. This Summer Will Be Different seems to be a best friend’s brother romance and I tend to enjoy those. I’ve enjoyed Carley Fortune’s two previous books, so I have high hopes for this one.

So I didn’t end up adding any thrillers to this list, but here are five beach reads on my TBR. Have you read any of these? Or do you have any beach reads you’d recommend? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
