We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

When this comes online, my two weeks off of work officially start. It’s my birthday this week, so we’ll be going out for that. Hopefully we’ll have a couple of other fun outings. We do have someone coming Tuesday to replace some of the things in our ventilation system.

Last weekend we had our monthly book club and it was a lot of fun! Everyone liked the book and that was quite surprising (it doesn’t happen very often).

I was approved for an eARC of The Hemlock Queen last week right after I finished The Foxglove King. I’m excited to read this sequel and see what happens next.

Since my last Royal Update I read: Cleat Cute, Hate (re-read), Spells for Forgetting, A Dowry of Blood, The Murder After the Night Before, Love Redesigned, Liar (re-read), The Foxglove King, A Court of Frost and Starlight, The Scarlet Alchemist, Ricochet, Tress of the Emerald Sea, Bride, A Sign of Affection Vol. 3, and Fish Out of Water.

I’m currently reading: Faebound, Ready Or Not, If I Have to Be Haunted, Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead, Belladonna, and Murder at the Bookstore.

Next I’ll be reading: Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands, Lore of the Wilds, Instant Karma, and What I Like About You

The Marvels has been added to Disney+, so of course we had to watch it. I really enjoyed this one!

I haven’t really been able to decide what artist or album to listen to, so I’ve been back at listening to a Daily Mix.
