It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
The Love Wager – Lynn Painter
Lynn Painter is one of my favorite authors and I was really shocked that I hadn’t read The Love Wager yet. This is another typical case of “why did I wait so long to read this book?”. Hallie and Jack’s story had a smile on my face while reading. I’ll definitely read anything this author writes.
Do Your Worst – Rosie Danan
If you’re looking for a romance that’s steamy, has forced proximity, and lots of banter I highly recommend Do Your Worst. The story between this archeologist and curse breaker was a lot of fun. Riley and Clark are two characters I’ll definitely keep thinking about.
What are you currently reading?
Homerun Proposal – Maren Moore
Homerun Proposal is a sports romance that I’ve loving. Our main character Hallie wants to lose her virginity and wrote a proposal to her best friend. Except his brother got it instead, who just happens to have had a crush on her for years. So far I’m loving this story. Hallie is quirky and fun and Lane is making it all about her and I love that.
Spells for Forgetting – Adrienne Young
I’m currently doing a buddy read of Spells for Forgetting with a friend and we’re about 100 pages in as I’m typing this. I have a feeling there are going to be quite a few reveals about what really happened during certain events on this island. So far the atmosphere the author has created is amazing.
House of Flame and Shadow – Sarah J. Maas
Of course, I’m also reading the third Crescent City book. I’m only about 50 pages in at the moment. Part of me is scared to read and the other part doesn’t want to rush through this book. I do know this story is going to hurt!
What do you think you’ll read next?
Tress of the Emerald Sea – Brandon Sanderson
The in person book club I go to every month has picked Tress of the Emerald Sea as February’s book. I’ve read and loved other Sanderson books and I’m excited to read this one.
Cleat Cute – Meryl Wilsner
Every month I host a romance read in the Facebook group I help moderate. We’re reading Cleat Cute in February. I enjoyed Mistakes Were Made by this author and I’m excited for this one. A rivals to lovers rom com? Sign me up!
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading? Find any new favorites? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
Now I absolutely need to grab a copy of “Do your worst”! It just sounds like something I’d enjoy reading. And I also need to read CC series but I’m so scared of the hype and that I won’t like it as much as ACOTAR. ????
Some very seasonally relevant books here, and lots of cute covers! Sounds like you’re enjoying everything, too. Happy reading!

They look good. I love it when a book has been on my list for ages and it turns out to be really good ????
Have a great week!

I’ve been listening to Do Your Worst on audio – it’s a bit predictable so far but good to know you enjoyed it.
