TTT #328 | Populair Romances I Want to Read

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a love freebie. I decided to go with populair romances I want to read. Goodreads recently published a list of the 100 most popular romances of the past 3 years and it looks like I read exactely 3 books from that list haha. There were also funnily 10 books I already marked as want to read. So I thought they would be perfect for this list!

1. Fourth Wing – Rebecca Yarros

I still haven’t read anything by Rebecca Yarros despite her being one of my friends favorite authors. And I have owned one of her books for years now…. I guess this incredibly popular release could be the first Rebecca Yarros I read. Since it has a fantasy element there is a higher chance I’ll pick this up.

2. Icebreaker – Hannah Grace

I actually quite like sports romances (or at least the idea of them) so this one is one I really want to read. The reviews are mostly positive but I’ve also seen some less positive reviews from some of my friends. So I’m really curious to see where I will fall on that spectrum.

3. One Last Stop – Casey McQuiston

I did start reading this one a while ago but I stopped a couple of chapters in. Red, White & Royal Blue is one of my favorite romance stories so I had high hopes for this one. But it didn’t grab me right away so I put it down in favor of something else. I do still want to get back to it as I still hope to enjoy this.

4. The Soulmate Equation – Christina Lauren

I really like the sound of this one! So far I’ve read two Christina Lauren books, both 4 star reads. And I think this might be another hit. I love the idea of finding love based on your DNA and I can’t wait to find out how it is handled.

5. The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches – Sangu Mandanna

I actually have an eARC for this one and I’m ashamed to say I still haven’t read this one yet. This one sounds really cute and I love the found family trope. Once again it will help that this has a fantasy element, hopefully I can read this one soon.

6. The Heart Principle – Helen Hoang

I really enjoyed the first two books in the Kiss Quotient series and I’m sad I never continued reading this final book in the series. The reviews are really positive and I’m happy that I’m reminded to read this one. I might just listen to the audiobook soon.

7. Shipped – Angie Hockman

I mostly added this one because of the enemies-to-I’m-assuming-lovers element haha. The reviews are all over the place but I think most readers thought this one was fun. And it’s nice to just read a fun book every now and then.

8. Honey Girl – Morgan Rogers

Drunkily getting married in Vegas and then spending the summer together in New York? I’m so curious to see how this will work out! This has gotten great reviews and it seems like it might be a lot more serious than most books on this list.

9. The Roughest Draft – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Brokka

It seems like this is one to either love or hate haha. I still haven’t read a book by these authors despite liking the sound of a lot of their work. This might not be the best one to read first, I might wait for The Breakup Tour.

10. Assistant to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer

This is the only one on the list I own a physical copy of haha. I have been planning on reading this one since I got my copy in the mail. It sounds really fun and I love the map that’s included. I can’t wait to try this one!

And that is my top 10 for the week! Have you read any of these popular romances? Which one should I start with first? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Great list! I’ve got a couple of these on my TBR as well and can’t wait to get to them. I’m hoping I finally read Hoang’s book this year since I was so looking forward to reading it before it came out ???? I hope you enjoy all of these books!
