Happy February everyone! We hope January treated you well. Seeing how it’s the start of the month it’s time to look back at January. As usual we’re starting with our bookhaul. Did we get any new books? Keep on reading to find out!
Candyce
2024 started off with me adding seven books to my shelves. I can already say that I have read two of them and I’m over halfway with a third. Let’s hope I can keep that up throughout the year. Take a look at the books I added to my collection.
Ruthless Vows – Rebecca Ross
After loving Divine Rivals I pre-ordered the sequel. When Ruthless Vows arrived a friend and I started our buddy read. We’re taking our time reading this, but are over halfway through. I’m loving it so far and hope our characters get a happily ever after.
Ricochet – Krista & Becca Ritchie
Addicted to You was a book I saw everywhere and finally gave a go. I enjoyed it more than I expected, so I’ve decided to continue with this series. Ricochet is the next book and I’m looking forward to read this one.
Done and Dusted – Lyla Sage
I haven’t read many cowboy romances, but Done and Dusted was one I really enjoyed. I bought this one for my weekly read I did for my Discord book club. I’m excited that there will be four books in the series.
The Breakup Tour – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
This author duo is one I enjoy and while I’m still catching up with their backlist, I’m trying to stay caught up with their new releases. The Breakup Tour sounds like a fun story. Our main character is a rising star and she may get a second chance romance with her college boyfriend.
A Fragile Enchantment – Allison Saft
A Fragile Enchantment was January’s YA Fairyloot book and I love this edition. The sprayed edges, naked hardcover and the reversible dust jacket. This is a romantic fantasy and that’s all I know.
A Sign of Affection Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 – Suu Morishita
So not too long ago I saw someone promoting this on bookstagram. This manga has a Deaf main character and there seems to be a romance that develops and she discovers more of the world. I’m also watching the anime with my boyfriend and I’m loving it.
Isabelle
I didn’t get any new physical books this month but I did use one of my Audible credits during a sale to get audiobook copies of books I have on my TBR. Hopefully this way I’ll make my way through them faster. Let’s take a look at them!
Audible
Jade City – Fonda Lee
I really want to read this one this year. Hopefully I can start this audiobook soon. I loved Untethered Sky by Fonda Lee and I have heard nothing but great things about Jade City. The book sounds like it would be right up my alley so I have high hopes.
Ninth House – Leigh Bardugo
I adore Leigh Bardugo and think the Grishaverse is amazing with some perfect characters. So of course I have been wanting to read Ninth House since it was released. There have been some mixed reactions so I have been hesitant in actually picking it up. However, I’m still super curious and I definitely still want to try it for myself. Hopefully having the audiobook will help.
So that’s it for our January bookhaul! Have you read any of these? Or did you start the new year off by adding new books to your shelves? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you.
