WWW Wednesday #55

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Wildfire – Hannah Grace

After enjoying Icebreaker, I was excited about Wildfire. I’ve had this book since October, but finally read it last week. The summer camp setting was fun and I enjoyed Russ and Aurora (even if she annoyed me at times). Both of these characters had their reasons for not letting the other in, but I loved watching them slowly letting their walls down. Add some fun side characters and this was a fast and fun read.

Dungeons and Drama – Kristy Boyce

Dungeons and Dragons is something I’ve played with friends and it’s always fun seeing it come back in books. Riley gets in trouble after driving her mother’s car without a license to see a musical. Her punishment is working in her dad’s game shop. They don’t have the best relationship, but it was fun seeing that develop as she worked there. Riley kind of fake dates co-worker Nathan to make his crush jealous, but we all know how that goes. I really enjoyed this story.

What are you currently reading?

The Hurricane Wars – Thea Guanzon

So I had the eARC for this, but didn’t get around to reading The Hurricane Wars before release day. I also received the paperback for Christmas. At the moment I have a little over 150 pages left. This fantasy romance is great so far! The characters, world, and magic are interesting. We’re slowly getting some twists and I have a feeling we’re going to be left with a cliffhanger. I’m also loving that the romance isn’t taking over the whole story.

Betting on You – Lynn Painter

Lynn Painter is an auto-buy author for me and I’ve had this book on my shelves for a couple of months. Betting on You is about Bailey and Charlie. Both of them are dealing with the aftermath of their parents’ divorce and trying to cope. Charlie says that guys and girls can’t be just friends and he kind of makes it a bet. His statement may be true though, because they’re getting really close. I’m loving this book so far and I just can’t put it down.

What do you think you’ll read next?

House of Flame and Shadow – Sarah J. Maas

House of Flame and Shadow released yesterday, so of course this is up next on my TBR. I’ve been waiting two years for this book! After the ending of House of Sky and Breath I’m eager to see how this series will continue. This book is over 800 pages, so it’ll be keeping me busy for a bit.

Ricochet – Krista & Becca Ritchie

Seeing how I’ll be reading an 800+ page book, I decided a smaller book next to that would be a great idea. Ricochet is the next book in the Addicted series and I can’t wait to see how Lily and Lo’s story continues.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read or are you currently reading anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
