As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is Winter Celebrations. My biggest winter celebration is Christmas, so here are five Christmas themed books on my TBR!
Blame It on the Mistletoe – Beth Garrod
This book is pitched as Tweet Cute meet The Holiday. Our two main characters swap lives for a Christmas adventure. I love books like this and I bought it a couple of years ago, so I’d say it’s time to finally read Blame It on the Mistletoe.
A Very Merry Bromance – Lyssa Kay Adams
I love The Bromance Book Club series and I’m actually really surprised I haven’t read A Very Merry Bromance. Some readers have told me this isn’t fully focused on Christmas like some other holiday romances, but that’s okay.
All I Want for Christmas – Maggie Knox
I really enjoyed The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox, so when I heard about All I Want for Christmas I was intrigued. This book has my favorite trope, fake dating, so it’ll be interesting. The two main characters are on a reality singing show together and when people love them after they have to sing a duet things get complicated.
A Cat Cafe Christmas – Codi Gary
As someone who loves cats, I wanted this book for the title alone. A Cat Cafe Christmas is a laugh-out-loud, opposites attract romance. Our two main characters are going to work together to get all of the cats lovable homes before Christmas and maybe even find love themselves?
The Kingdom of Sweets – Erika Johansen
The Nutcracker is something I’ll always associate with Christmas, so I’m adding this re-imagining to my post today. The day this post comes online I’m actually going to see The Nutcracker for the first time. So I’m hoping to squeeze this in this week. The Kingdom of Sweets sounds like a book I’ll love.
So here are five “winter celebrations” books on my TBR. Have you read any of these? What did you think? Or what books are on your TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
