Royal Update #202

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

So when I wrote my last Royal Update, I completely forgot about something I should’ve updated, haha. I was a bad girlfriend. My boyfriend and I were recently talking about where we can fit in more shelving for books. Our bedroom was an option, so he ordered the supplies and built us the bookcase that’s also a TV stand. I still have some shelves to fill, but it’s nice to know that I have a bit more room!

Last week was Thanksgiving in the US and even though we don’t live there anymore, we still have our own little celebration. Except this year we had two extra guests. Two of the members of my in person book club, who are also American, joined us for the day. It was great company and great food. Hopefully we can make this a new tradition.

Then on Saturday, we went to a big garden center that is about a 40 minute drive from is. It’s known for a bit Christmas set up and it was so much fun to see. They definitely go all out! This is my favorite time of year, so I had a great time walking around.

Since my last Royal Update, I’ve added four new eARCs to my Kindle: Crown of Starlight, On the Bright Side, Exes & Foes, and Under the Surface.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Running into You, The Graham Effect, Knot My Type, Love Flushed, Wreck the Halls, Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date, Book Boyfriend, If the Shoe Fits, Perfect on Paper, and Christmas Cupid.

I’m currently reading The Book Club Hotel, Grace and Glory, and Trick Shot.

I’ve really been a mood reader lately, so it’s hard to say what I’ll be reading next. Two I’m looking forward to reading are Plot Twist and The Long Game.

There have been quite a few cover reveals this week and I want to share a few of them!

A lot of people here save little holiday houses to make little villages as Christmas decorations. Seeing how I love books, I’ve been looking for a library or bookstore. I haven’t had any luck the last few years, but my boyfriend looked online and found this library. I’m very happy with it!

Last week was my choice when we had our weekly movie night. I decided to watch the new Netflix movie, Best. Christmas. Ever! This was a fun movie and I’m glad we watched it. Best. Christmas. Ever! had some laugh out loud moments, but also some heartwarming ones.

So I’m still in my Christmas mood when it comes to music, so I’ve been listening to this Christmas Pop playlist. It has some classics and newer Christmas hits on there.

So that’s another Royal Update! How have you been? Have you read or watched anything amazing recently? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
