We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
My life hasn’t been that exciting recently, haha. After being sick and trying to bounce back from that I had a lot of drama with trains during my commute to and from work. It wasn’t my week at all. We even decided not to go to game night because of that week.
Last weekend I had my in person book club which was nice and I baked a nice treat on Sunday afternoon. I love that it’s cooler and cozy outside, because it makes me want to bake and curl up and read.
It’s hard to believe I’m slowly getting eARCs for books releasing in 2024! One of them is an eARC I have to put in this week’s Royal Update. Since my last Royal Update I have two new eARCs. Both of these sound really good.
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Ghosted, Enchanted to Meet You, Spookily Yours, Curves for Days, Out of the Ashes, Pumpkin Spice and Not So Nice, and The Way I Used to Be.
I’m currently reading: Night Shift, Divine Rivals, Two Twisted Crowns, and There’s No Way I’d Die First.
My mood is all over the place with reading, but at the moment I really want to read: Powerless, Do Your Worst, Wreck the Halls, and Magnolia Parks.
I still need to start the Belladonna series, because I’ve heard amazing things about it, but I want to share the cover reveal for the third book. Wisteria releases in August 2024.
Last weekend we watched Amsterdam during our weekly movie night. This movie was definitely entertaining and I was surprised by the cast. There are quite a few well known people cast in this one.
My mother recently saw a singer on a TV show and sent me the song to listen to. I really liked it, so I decided to look up Zak Abel on Spotify. His music is pretty good!
So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Have you read or watched anything amazing recently? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
