We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I have to say my last two weeks haven’t been very exciting. Work has been a bit stressful and messy with people on vacation. And last week my motivation went out the window. Thankfully I have two more weeks to go and then have most of September off. I work 3 days next month. There was a pretty sunrise last week when I was waiting for the train.

Since my last Royal Update, I added these four books to my Netgalley shelf. They all sound amazing!

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Pretend You’re Mine, So Happy for You, Kiss and Don’t Tell, The Spare Room, Hide, Neon Gods, Love Me Do, This Might Get Awkward, All Systems Red, If He Had Been with Me, and As Above, So Below.

I’m currently reading The Lake House, A Court of Thorns and Roses, My Roommate is a Vampire, and Cold Girls.

Next I’ll be reading Once More with Feeling, Red Rising, and Consider Me.

There was one cover reveal that caught my eye this week! A Dark and Drowning Tide releases in March of next year. It’s academic rivals and a sapphic fantasy romance. Sign me up!

Instead of going to game night this month I decided to have a quiet night at home. My mom and I had a movie night. We watched A Cinderella Story (I’ve already seen it like 5 times, but it’s still fun) and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. It was a nice and relaxing evening with fun movies.

I’ve been listening to a pop mix lately on Spotify! It’s fun having a mix of music and hearing songs I haven’t in quite some time.
