WWW Wednesday #19

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read! It’s been almost a month since I’ve done a WWW Wednesday post, so it’s definitely time for a new one.

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

As Seen on TV – Meredith Schorr

When I saw As Seen on TV I was really excited. I’m a big fan of Hallmark movies and small town romances and it seemed that’s what I would be getting. And we kind of get it. Our main character isn’t having the best luck with her writing career, but decides to try finding love and happiness in a small town. The idea was really cute and there were many moments I enjoyed, but the main character started annoying me after awhile.

Daisy Darker – Alice Feeney

Last year I read Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney and really enjoyed it, so when I heard about Daisy Darker I knew I needed this book. I was really thankful that I got an e-arc and I finally read this book. The atmosphere and plot in this book was really interesting. There were quite a few twists. I didn’t guess the ending and was glad I didn’t. I’ll definitely be reading the next book this author writes.

The Kiss Curse – Erin Sterling

The Ex Hex was a cute book, but it was a bit disappointing. I still wanted to give The Kiss Curse a try though. A big thanks to Libro FM, because I was able to get an ALC of this book and it was actually a cute read. Gwyn was a fun character. I missed a bit of depth in the story, but if you’re looking for a fast and fun read this is perfect.

What are you currently reading?

A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime – Monica Murphy

A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime is a book I’ve seen a lot since it released and I became intrigued when a book club I’m in voted for this as a weekly read. I’m over halfway done and I’m loving this story. Wren and Crew are an unlikely couple, but they work so well together!

On the Subject of Unmentionable Things – Julia Walton

I actually had an e-arc of this, but haven’t had the time to sit down and read it yet. So when I saw the audiobook I decided to listen to that during my commute to work. I love that the main character thinks that teenagers have the right to know more than you shouldn’t have sex. She doesn’t live in a town that’s open to that, so I’m curious to see what happens.

Praise – Sara Cate

Another book that I see everywhere is Praise. It’s an age gap romance (our main character will end up getting involved with her ex boyfriend’s father). I’m about 20% in now and I’m enjoying it so far. It’s made me laugh a lot!

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Last Housewife – Ashley Winstead

After reading Daisy Darker I’ve been wanting to read more thriller/mysteries. So when the group I read that book with suggested a buddy read for The Last Housewife I had to join in. I will be starting this one on Thursday I think.

Love On the Brain – Ali Hazelwood

After loving The Love Hypothesis I’ve been anxiously awaiting Love On the Brain. My copy came on release day and I’ll be starting this one the day I’m typing this post. I host a swoonalong (monthly romance read) and my discussion is this Sunday. I’m hoping I love this as much as The Love Hypothesis.

Club 22 – Tate James

I actually started Club 22 in May and have gotten distracted by a lot of other books. Just like A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime, Club 22 is a weekly read in the book club I’m in. This feels like the first time to finally sit down and continue this series. I was loving it so far.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. What book have you read recently? Any amazing books everyone has to know about? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
