We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books with Geographical Terms in the Title and I decided to go with just books on my TBR this week. I have more than enough books haha, so there should be 10 books with geographical terms in the title. Let’s take a look!
1. The City of Brass – S.A. Chakraborty
I’m pretty sure I will love this trilogy as much as I love the covers. This is really one I want to pick up soon! Candyce loved it and I’ve heard great things.
2. Jade City – Fonda Lee
This is another one I would love to read soon. The story sounds like it’s something I’ll enjoy and I’ve heard great this. By now the whole trilogy is released so I can go through it quickly haha.
3. Beyond a Darkened Shore – Jessica Leake
This one was on a possible unhaul pile for awhile but I did enjoy the first chapter. I might give it another chance but if I don’t read it soon I think I will still unhaul it.
4. Daughter of the Burning City – Amanda Foody
I’m actually still really curious about this one! And I’ve got an audiobook for it now as well. That might make it easier to pick it up soonish. I’ve seen mixed reviews and I would love to know where I will stand.
5. Cop Town – Karin Slaughter
I’m ashamed I haven’t read this one yet! Karin Slaughter is one of my absolute favourite authors, and probably my favorite thriller writer. I have a couple of her books yet to read… Maybe this fall is the perfect time to finally do it.
6. Keeper of the Lost Cities – Shannon Messenger
This is a MG I’m super excited about! I’ve heard great things and there is a whole series I can dive into. Hopefully I can read it soon.
7. The Island of the Colorblind – Oliver Sacks
I’ve had this one for a while and I’m not super excited for it to be honest. At some point I might read it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I unhauled it either.
8. Forest of a Thousand Lanterns – Julie C. Dao
While I’ve seen a lot of disappointing reviews for this one, I do still want to give it a try. The story sounds interesting and I like a good villain origin story.
9. The Coldest Girl in Coldtown – Holly Black
I was very excited for this but after reading one of Holly’s older works my expectations plummeted haha. Hopefully this one is still okay!
10. Whichwood – Tahereh Mafi
This is another one that might make it’s way to my unhaul pile. It’s book two in a duology and I’ve lost all interest in book one to be honest. Tahereh Mafi isn’t the writer for me I think and at some point I just have to make the decision to let these gorgeous books go haha.

Part of the reason I love Top Ten Tuesday is that there are often a few lists each week that feature ten books I’ve never read—and yours is one of them this week! I’ve been interested in The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, but then I loved Holly Black’s Doll Bones. I haven’t tried any of her young adult work, though.
I’ve never read Karin Slaughter before, but Cop Town seems like a great addition to the list and a good place to start reading her work.

Great list and picks for this week’s TTT. I couldn’t agree more with your picks especially since we have one in common: City of Brass. And Jade City has been on my TBR since ages and I can’t wait to read it.

My kids love the Keeper of the Lost Cities books! I haven’t tried them yet, but I know quite a bit about them just from listening to them discuss the books amongst themselves, hee.

An interesting list. I don’t have the ability to unhaul – too much of a hoarder 🤣
Have a great week!

Oooh, Daughter of the Burning City has me interested!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I really enjoyed City of Brass, such a great book! I also enjoyed Daughter of The Burning City, it’s basically like a fantastical murder mystery which I thought was really cool.
