It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Girl in Pieces – Kathleen Glasgow
I have to say that Girl in Pieces isn’t an easy book to read. There is addiction, self-harming, abuse, sexual assault and many difficult subjects. Girl in Pieces is very raw and emotional and if you’re looking for a story with sunshine and a happily ever after this isn’t one. The characters feel realistic and Charlotte’s journey isn’t an easy one. She is someone that definitely fights for her future though.
What are you currently reading?
Nyxia – Scott Reintgen
Nyxia is definitely a book that’s definitely making me wonder why I didn’t read this sooner. I love them being in space and the competitions. This book is definitely action-packed.
Ugly Truths – Blake Blessing
The first book in this series started off really great and I was curious to see where it went. I’m about 30% in with Ugly Truths and I’m honestly having a hard time keeping my attention focused on it. I feel like it’s going really slow and not much has changed since book one. I’ll keep reading, but I’m hoping this book gives me a bit more development.
Flash Fire – TJ Klune
So Isabelle and I really enjoyed The Extraordinaries when we read it last summer. We didn’t continue with Flash Fire, but decided now was a good time when we were offered e-arcs of the third book. I’m only two chapters in, but I love how it’s started off.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Queen Me – Amber Lynn Natusch
Queen Me is the second book in the Immortal Vice and Virtues series. I’m in the ARC team to read the books in this series as they release monthly. Amber Lynn Natusch is an author I love and I’m curious to read her installment in this series.
How to Make Friends with the Dark – Kathleen Glasgow
After finishing Girl in Pieces it’s time to continue with my author spotlight for this author by reading her next book. I know this one has a main character that lost her mother. How to Make Friends with the Dark won’t be an easy read, but I need to see what the author does with this subject.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you recently read or reading now? Anything I need to add to my TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
Some interesting looking books. I am not sure I am ready for an emotional read! I am still on Rom Coms with the odd Thriller!
Have a great week!

Here’s MY WWW POST
I also loved The Extraordinaries but didn’t immediately pick up the sequel. I’m glad to know that it starts off in a good way. It makes me more intrigued to pick it up sooner!
