WWW Wednesday #2

Last month I posted my first WWW Wednesday and had a lot of fun writing that post. There were some other posts to do before I had the chance to do another one, so I’m happy today is time for the next one. I read quite a bit, so I won’t be posting everything I’ve read, but I’ll pick the last few. Also, I’m typing this a few days in advance, so I may have finished a couple of the books this post says I’m currently reading before it comes online.

So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

The Accidental Apprentice – Amanda Foody I started this middle grade last year and got distracted (as I usually do), haha. I have the e-arc of the sequel that just released, so I want to make sure to get to that really soon. I loved the world and characters and can’t wait to see how the story continue.

Claimed by Cupid – Dana Isaly This was a novella I kept seeing on bookstagram and I was just really curious. Wow, this was a lot steamier than what I normally read, but it wasn’t bad. I may need to read the Christmas novella released last year.

Love at First Spite – Anna E. Collins After seeing this around I had to start listening to the audiobook. Our main character wants to get back at her ex by buying the lot next to the house they were supposed to live in together. I loved the character she ends up starting a romance with, but there were definitely certain aspects near the end that didn’t sit well with me.

What are you currently reading?

Under One Roof – Ali Hazelwood I totally forgot that the audiobook was going to release earlier than the e-book. After loving The Love Hypothesis I’ve been anxiously awaiting another book by this author. I’m enjoying Under the Roof a lot so far and have less than an hour left in the audio.

All the Right Reasons – Bethany Mangle When this book was pitched as Gilmore Girls meets The Bachelor I knew I needed it. I love contemporaries like this and was so excited to go get the e-arc. Isabelle and I are buddyreading this one and I’m enjoying it, but it’s not everything I expected. It’s missing something, but it’s hard to put my finger on what. Hopefully I’ll figure that out before the end of the book.

Ruthless Fae – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti I’m slowly making my way through Ruthless Fae (second book in the Zodiac Academy series) and loving it. This series is addicting and I’m already scared of what it’s going to put my poor heart through, haha.

Delilah Green Doesn’t Care – Ashley Herring Blake After loving this author’s middle grade books I was excited to see how she did romance. So far I’m really enjoying Delilah Green Doesn’t Care. The characters are fun and I can’t wait to see them get together.

The Fastest Way to Fall – Denise Williams This is a book I saw everywhere when it released and have waited way too long to pick up. I love that there are e-mails and flirty banter. The Fastest Way to Fall is a fast read and I’ll be shocked if it’s not a 5 star read.

Boyfriend Material – Alexis Hall I’ve been putting this book off for way too long. So when I recently got approved for the sequel, Husband Material, it was really time for me to pick it up. Boyfriend Material has made me laugh out loud and after 100 pages I already love these two main characters. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes, so I’m excited.

Covet – Tracy Wolff After starting Court last week I quickly realized I didn’t remember enough of the ending of Covet to continue reading. So instead of rereading all three books I decided to just pick up Covet. Thankfully they’re fast reads and I really enjoyed it, so it’s not a punishment at all.

What Do You Think You’ll Read Next?

Girls of Storm and Shadow – Natasha Ngan After loving Girls of Paper and Fire I’m so excited about diving back into this world and seeing how it continues. I need to know what happens to Lei and Wren after everything in the first book.

Love & Other Disasters – Anita Kelly Any book that involves reality baking shows is one that I need to read. This book sounds so cute and I’m excited for everything about it.

Now That I’ve Found You – Kristina Forest I have a feeling that this book is going to be more than just a cute romance. Now That I’ve Found You also sounds like it’s going to be an interesting journey for our main character. It wouldn’t surprise me if I fly through this book.

Love and Other Words – Christina Lauren This author duo is one I really love and Love and Other Words seems to be a favorite book for a lot of readers. I love that this book takes place in two timelines. It’s fun to discover the past while trying to understand the present of the main characters we’re learning more about.

So this is my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read anything I’ve talked about today? Or what are you currently reading? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.

  1. I read under one roof. Unfortunately, I didn’t love it much, but I hope you do. Have a great reading week!
