5 On My TBR | Planned to Read in 2021

Besides my Netgalley backlist posts I also try and track my physical TBR. That’s not always an easy task. There are so many books I want to read, but just not enough time. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is snow, but I’m not feeling that one this week. So I’m doing next week’s topic which is planned to read in 2021. There are many books I didn’t get to, but there are 5 of them I was really excited about. I’ll try to avoid the books I’ve talked about frequently on the blog.

Far From the Tree – Robin Benway

I know Far From the Tree is going to be an emotional read, but those tend to be the best. This book was a recommendation for fans of This Is Us, so when I saw that I knew I needed this book. I believe I did start reading it, but as usual I got distracted.

Swear on This Life – Renee Carlino

Swear on This Life is an older book and released in 2016. I have to say there was a time I saw this book everywhere for quite some time and was very intrigued. This book seems to have a dual timeline going on throughout the story. I love those. I do think this is going to be an emotional read.

Radio Silence – Alice Oseman

Radio Silence is a book I’ve seen get a lot of positive reviews and I’ve wanted to read it forever. The two main characters make a podcast and I’m always intrigued when that’s a part of a story. It’s definitely one that keeps starting at me when I see it on the bookshelf, haha.

Dating You Hating You – Christina Lauren

Christina Lauren is an author duo that I love. They write books that leave me with a smile on my face. I’ve actually had Dating You Hating You on my list for quite some time, so I need to make it a priority. Our main characters hit it off until they realized they’re going to have to compete for the same position at work.

The Serpent King – Jeff Zentner

Okay, so Jeff Zentner is an author I’m really curious about. A few people I know love his books and because of them I already own three books by him. The only thing is I haven’t read any yet. I have heard that there are Easter Eggs in at least one of his books, so I want to read them in order of publication. So The Serpent King is up first.

So these are five books that I did mean to read in 2021. I am determined to check these off my list in 2022. Have you read any of these? I’d love to hear what you thought if you have. Also, what books are still on your TBR even though you meant to read them this year? Let me know in the comments.
