Tag| The Weather in Books Tag

I don’t know what it is lately, but I’ve been having a hard time finding book tags that look appealing. After searching Google for awhile, I stumbled upon The Weather in Books Tag. I saw this tag on Pages Below the Vaulted Sky. I couldn’t find the original tag, but let me know if you know who the creator is and I’ll make sure to add a tag.

So let’s take a look at this book tag!

A book that made you smile

The LUX series is one I enjoyed devouring in 2015. This year I decided I wanted to give it another go to see if I still loved it as much. I can tell you I did! One of my favorite parts in this series is the sarcasm and humor. There’s a lot of action and other things going on, but I laughed out loud quite frequently.

A book you couldn’t put down

I really enjoyed The Black Witch, but kept putting off reading the next book. The Iron Flower is a book I started, but then put aside for over a year. Oops! Once I started reading it I just couldn’t put it down. The worldbuilding is amazing and I’ve really come to care for a lot of these characters. The Iron Flower is about 600 pages, but it didn’t feel like that at all.

A book that blew you away

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue blew me away! I had a feeling I was going to love this story, but it ended up being so much more than I was expecting. Once I started reading it I just couldn’t stop!

A tragic book

I just finished When You Were Everything and wow this book hurt! Not many books are about friendship, but I loved how this one told the story of friends growing apart and that sometimes a friendship can’t be fixed. There were many moments that had me frustrated, but the author kept this book pretty realistic. I’ll be posting my review for it on Saturday!

A book you had high expectations for

Having high expectations for books is always tricky! One of them for me is Among the Beasts & Briars. I’m currently reading it as a group read and so far it’s meeting my expectations. I’m hoping to continues to do so.

A book you didn’t like at first, but ended up loving

For this prompt I’m going to choose a series. When I started Crave it had me laughing. This book was pretty cheesy and very cliche. A friend and I were having fun laughing at all of these moments. Then we read the second book and are currently reading the third one. I never expected getting so invested in these characters and this story! I’m truly shocked.

So that was a fun tag! We’ve been having weird weather lately (sunshine, rain, hail and snow all in one day), so this one felt fitting, haha. Feel free to tag yourself if you’re interested. Let me know if you do. I’ll definitely want to see your answers. What was the last book that blew you away? Let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for more recommendations.
