I’m a big fan of cats and have two of my own, so when I saw this What Cats Do Book Tag I knew I needed to give it a go. For some reason I can’t remember where I found this tag, but it was originally created by Kate from meltingpotsandothercalamities. I wasn’t tagged, but I decided to do this one anyone. Let’s take a look at the tag!

PURR- AS CATS DO THIS WHEN THEY’RE HAPPY OR RELAXED,
WHAT IS THE BOOK THAT MAKES YOU HAPPIEST OR RELAXED?

A lot of books make me very happy and relaxed! One that makes me really happy is the first Nevermoor book, The Trials of Morrigan Crow is one that is very special. The second book in the series is just as amazing. I really need to read the third book that was released a few months ago.

SLEEP-
WHAT IS A BOOK THAT PUT YOU TO SLEEP OR WAS JUST BORING?

Honestly, The Tigers in the Tower was a book that started putting me to sleep. When I read the synopsis about this book I really expected to go on an adventure. That was far from the truth.

TWITCH WHILE DREAMING-
HAVE YOU EVER DREAMT OF A BOOK YOU READ?

Yeah, this has definitely happened more than once. Sometimes I’m so drawn into a setting or group of characters that they follow me when I go to sleep at night.

SEEMS TO PLAY NICE…UNTIL THE CLAWS ARE OUT-
WHICH BOOK HAD THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST(S)?

I don’t think I’m going to answer this one. If I say a book had the biggest plot twist I don’t really want to spoil anything for new readers. Or maybe something I thought was huge is something that doesn’t really mean anything to someone else.

CUDDLES-
WHICH BOOK CHARACTER WOULD YOU GIVE A HUG TO?

I’d have to say Alex from Red, White & Royal Blue. He means the best with so many things, but it just doesn’t always go as planned. I feel like this character wears his heart on his sleeve at times and definitely deserves a hug now and again.

CATNIP-
WHAT’S A BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAVE WARM AND FUZZY FEELS?

The most recent book is The House in the Cerulean Sea. This book was everything I wasn’t expecting, but everything I needed. I’ve never read a book like this and know I will be re-reading it regularly in the future.

CAT BREEDS-
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS?

My list of favorites has slowly grown over the years. I definitely love the LUX series, Throne of Glass, A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Infernal Devices and so many more. These are definitely a few that really kept me stuck with my head in books.

GETTING THE CAT-
HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR FAVORITE BOOK(S)?

The bookish community! Ever since I’ve gotten more involved online there have been so many amazing books to discover. And if you’ve been following the blog you’ll know the whole reason this blog exists is because of Throne of Glass.

THE VET’S OFFICE-
YOUR LEAST FAVORITE  BOOK

I don’t really have a least favorite. I’m very grateful that most times I seem to be able to tell if I’ll like a book or not. Blackwell is the only book on Goodreads I’ve given 1 star. I don’t mind a villain being the main character, but this book got pretty dark (even for me) and it was flat and inconsistent. And the synopsis made it sound so interesting. That was very disappointing!

BEING IN PLACES THEY SHOULDN’T-
LEAST FAVORITE CLICHÉ

I’m not a fan of love triangles. It just doesn’t work for me. Also, instalove isn’t something I’m really a fan of. There have been a few times I’ve thought it was well written, but that doesn’t happen often. I love reading about a relationship and the feelings slowly developing.

FINAL QUESTION: THE GOOD OLD CARDBOARD BOX-
MOST UNDERRATED BOOK SERIES. 

Last year I read the Jackaby series and I’m really surprised it’s not talked about more. I didn’t give all of them five stars, but they were all really good! It did end in an open way, so I secretly hope the author will eventually give us more!
