5 On My TBR| Historical

A couple of weeks a go we started doing the 5 On My TBR bookish meme and it was a lot of fun, so we want to bring this meme to the blog more regularly! This bookish meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. This week’s prompt is historical.

So I decided to talk about 5 historical fictions on my TBR!

Rebel Spy – Veronica Rossi

Rebel Spy only released a few months ago, but it caught my eye right away. This is a re-imagining of the story behind Agent 355. To be honest, I never heard of Agent 355 until I read this synopsis. It sounds interesting and I need to know more.

Dangerous Alliance: An Austentacious Romance – Jennieke Cohen

For some reason I’m really interested in Jane Austen retellings and I’ve never read a classic. Dangerous Alliance has a pretty cover and has a bit of mystery as well. A few friends have read this and loved it, so I really want to read it!

An Assassin’s Guide to Love and Treason – Virginia Boecker

I picked up this book on sale last year and it has definitely made me curious. I’m hoping for some twists and turns and maybe some story elements I don’t expect. A few people I know have read this and their opinions really differ, so I need to read this one for myself.

In Another Time – Caroline Leech

I’m actually really surprised I haven’t read this one. In Another Time takes place in the 1940’s when women started getting more involved with working. I love reading books about strong women and I’ve heard some amazing things about In Another Time.

The Ten Thousand Doors of January – Alix E. Harrow

The cover is what caught my attention at first and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this magical book. This book takes place in the 1900s and sounds like it’s one I’ll be sad to finish. I really need to read it soon!

So these are five historical fictions on my TBR I really want to read soon. It’s a genre I’m really starting to enjoy, so if you have more recommendations, please let me know in the comments! I need more of them on my TBR.
