As you probably know, were always looking for fun bookish memes. And last week I came across the 5 On My TBR. Every week there is a prompt and you talk about 5 books on your TBR that fit that theme. This bookish meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Go check out her blog as well! For now, let’s jump right in.
1.A Reaper at the Gates – Sabaa Tahir
I really liked the first two books in the Ember in the Ashes series and I can’t believe I still haven’t read A Reaper at the Gates. The final book in the series is supposed to release this December and it would be great if I was ready for that one. I’ve heard mixed reviews for this third book and I’m excited to see where I will fall.
2.Invictus – Ryan Graudin
I’m not completely sure this has an ensemble cast but from what I’ve gathered from different reviews there is a cast of multiple characters. This book has been on my TBR for too long! I’ve been wanting to read a Ryan Graudin book for years now and I should go ahead and finally read this one haha. It has to do with time travel and I absolutely love that concept so much. Can’t wait to see how it works in this book.
3.These Rebel Waves – Sara Raasch
I read the first chapter of this book for a Try a Chapter Tag and I really liked it! Sara wrote another series I really enjoyed, the Snow Like Ashes series, and I’m excited to read more by her. A couple of my friends absolutely love this series and I think I might really like this one as well. Hopefully I can pick it up soon because Sara already started a new series haha.
4.The Well of Ascension – Brandon Sanderson
Candyce and I read the first book in the Mistborn series this year and really liked it! We planned on reading the rest of the series this year but we did fail a bit haha. Hopefully we will pick this one up soon because Brandon Sanderson writes amazing stories and he’s not slowing down haha. I have a ton of his books on my TBR and I can’t wait to read all of them.
5.A Closed and Common Orbit – Becky Chambers
I loved The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky so much and I planned on reading the rest of the series right away. But I was a bit put off by the fact that this second book is about different characters. After that I did read a novella by Becky and that was phenomenal as well so I just know I have to read this soon!
These are 5 books on my TBR I think have an ensemble cast! I think this might all be 5 star reads for me and I really hope they are. Have you read any of them? Or do you plan on picking up any of them? Let me know in the comments!
