Bookhaul| I Supported My Local Bookstore

I know we’ll be writing a bookhaul for May in a few days, but I decided to do a mini haul today. As everyone knows, things have been closed for awhile. Our local bookstores are open and I decided to visit today. I went there and came right home, but it felt good to do something “normal” again! So I wanted to show you how I supported my local bookstore today!

Spin the Dawn – Elizabeth Lim

Project Runway meets Mulan sounds like a really interesting combination! I’ve been wanting to read Spin the Dawn for awhile and in June I’ll be participating in a group read! And just in time, because the sequel, Unravel the Dusk, releases next month!

Thorn – Intisar Khanani

I have to start by saying I love this cover. A couple friends of mine have read Thorn and loved it. One even said it was one of her favorite reads of 2020! There is royalty and that always makes me happy.

Foul is Fair – Hannah Capin

Foul of Fair is a book I’ve had an e-arc of for awhile, but the formatting was annoying. Whenever there is a double letter, like with happy, the double letters were gone. It’s not the worst issue, but it’s not smooth reading! I liked what I had read up until then, so I don’t think it was a bad idea to buy the paperback.

Sky in the DeepĀ  – Adrienne Young

I’ve been hearing amazing things about Sky in the Deep since release day! It’s been a long time coming, so I really need to read it. I saw it on the shelf and it seemed like perfect timing. Hopefully I can read it soon.

The Girl the Sea Gave BackĀ – Adrienne Young

The Girl the Sea Gave Back is another book that I’ve looked at few times, but didn’t pick up. I loved the cover and is one with some mixed reviews, but I’m still really curious.

There Will Come a Darkness – Katy Rose Pool

There Will Come a Darkness is a book that hasn’t had a lot of hype, but sounds really good. Two friends of mine have read it and were really happy with the story! This paperback does have a different cover, but I love how it looks!

Of Curses and Kisses – Sandhya Menon

Another book I have an e-arc of, but I love the cover. Also, lately I’ve been reading physical books a bit easier. It’s just nice to have one in my hand. But boarding schools and a spin on Beauty and the Beast. That made me want to read!

So I added another seven books to my shelves (even though I don’t have much space on my shelves, well any really…oops!). Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments what book I need to read first!
