Bookhaul| April 2020

Another month is over, which means it’s time to tell you about the books we added to our collections this month. How did we do? Were we good? Or are our bankaccounts upset with us? Let’s take a look in our April bookhaul!

Candyce

Last month I added a lot of books to my collection and I was hoping this month would be a little calmer. It was another good bookish month though, because I added 11 books to my collection. Let’s take a look.

Wicked Saints & Ruthless Gods – Emily A. Duncan

After reading Wicked Saints last year, I knew I eventually wanted to add this to my collection. The paperback was just released and with the release of Ruthless Gods, I decided to get both of them. Hopefully I can get to Ruthless Gods soon! Unfortunately Wicked Saints is smaller than Ruthless Gods (and they’re even from the same publisher).

Lifel1k3 & Dev1at3 – Jay Kristoff

The third and final book in this trilogy is releasing in June and I loved the first book. Last year I read the e-book of Lifel1k3 and really enjoyed it. A friend and I decided to do a buddyread to get ready for the third book.Again, another perfect moment to buy them. I’m almost done with my re-read of Lifl1k3 as I’m typing this.

The Shadows Between Us – Tricia Levenseller

After enjoying Warrior of the Wild last year, I was keeping out for this author’s next book. The Shadows Between Us sounded amazing. A friend of mine had the ARC and showed me the first chapter and I knew I needed this book. I’ve already read it and it’s so good and the book is just gorgeous!!

Loveboat, Taipei – Abigail Hing Wen

Loveboat, Taipei is a TBR & Beyond group read and as a contemporary lover I was really interested. As I’m typing this, I’ve actually already finished this book. I enjoyed this story and will definitely keep an eye out to see what this author publishes next.

What I Like About You – Marisa Kanter

Look at how cute this cover is!! Anyways, when I read that the main character in this book was a bookblogger and that there was an online friendship, I didn’t need to know anymore than this. I can’t wait to read What I Like About You!

From Blood & Ash – Jennifer L. Armentrout

If you’ve been following the blog, you’ll know I’m a big fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout. Well, she surprised all of her readers with a surprise book. No one knew about it and then she announced it was available. From Blood & Ash sounds amazing and I’m hoping to read it in May.

The Princess and the Fangirl – Ashley Poston

I loved Geekerella and have even read it more than once. The Princess and the Fangirl has been on my wishlist for ages. I actually started the audiobook last month and enjoyed what I had read so far. At the moment, I was having a hard time concentrating on audiobooks, so I decided to get the paperback and continue.

The Honey Don’t List – Christina Lauren

After reading Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating and really enjoyin it, I was excited to see that Christina Lauren had a new release. There are so many books I still need to read by this duo, but The Honey Don’t List sounds like so much fun and I love the cover!

Aru Shah and the Song of Death – Roshani Chokshi

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and signed up for the blog tour for the third book in this series. To be able to do so, I needed to read the second book first. I got the digital file for the blog tour, but the formatting was bugging me. This was a book I knew I would love, so I decided to buy it as well.

Isabelle

I don’t think anyone is going to believe me, but I didn’t add any physical books to my collection this month! With everything going on I’m trying to be mindful of my spending and focus on allll of the books I already own. I’m pretty proud of myself and while it makes for boring posts I do hope I can keep this up for a bit longer ;).

So these are the books we added to our collections this month. If you’ve read any of them, we’d love to know what you thought! Also, what did you add to your shelves this month? Let us know in the comments!

  1. You got some awesome books Candyce and wow Isabelle!! Hat off to you for not buying any physical books! The day I achieve that will be a miracle!

  2. Great haul Candye!! And Isa, good luck in tackling your TBR!!
I can’t wait to read the Tricia Levenseller book. Good to see you enjoyed it Candyce. I’ve been hearing a lot of mixed things about it. I had a good haul I think – it’s online on the blog. If you don’t count the 64 free amazon e-books, lol, It was quite modest I might say, seeing it’s a 2 month haul.
