We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
This is going to be a pretty boring Life Update. I haven’t really had much excitement these last two weeks. It’s mostly only been work and then curling up with a book at home. It’s like I’m coming down with a cold, so I’ve been relaxing when I can with kitty cuddles. I did bake a cake last weekend, it turned out really good if I do say so myself!
I’ve been trying to do good with ARCs and have been getting better, haha. I actually only have one blog tour in March. Even though I love supporting authors, I really need to get to my own books that I’ve had forever. Since my last royal update, I added four ARCs to my Kindle.
Great and Precious Things by Rebecca Yarros is one I’ve been waiting for since I finished The Last Letter. I know this book will probably break my heart, but the author always puts me back together again. This is definitely a book I need to prepare for!
The Lying Season by K.A. Linde is also another book that I have been wanting to get my hands on since the author announced it. Her Cruel series was amazing,so I have a feeling this one will be as well. I’ma few chapters in as I’m typing this and amloving every minute of it.
Doughn’t Let Me Gois the next book in Teagan Hunter’s Slice series. I love her books and they always make me laugh. What I also really enjoy is that they’re fast reads. No matter how long they are, I just seem to fly through them.
Last, but not least a friend told me that Chasing Lucky was Read Now on Netgalley! I loved Alex, Approximately and this one sounds really good as well. This is an author that writes a good contemporary and I love those!
I’ve been really happy with how my reading has been going. I can’t complain at all how 2020 has started. Since my last Royal Update, I finished Blood Heir, Riven Knight, The Apocalypse of Elena Mendoza, Rock Star, Unbroken, Praying for Rain, Kingdom of Spirits and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.
At this moment I’m almost done with The Final Empire, The Power and Vicious. I’m also reading The Lying Season, P.S. I Still Love You. I should be able to get these finished this week.
The next two weeks I also plan on starting Doughn’t Let Me Go, Can We Pretend, Hunted, Sorcery of Thorns and Vengeful. I like being ambitious, haha.
This week has been an interesting week with bookish news. Some books were announced and we got two cover reveals! Probably more, but these are the ones I found. I’m especially excited for Avenged by Love. Is it April yet?!?
This is the fifth Royal Update I’ve written and I haven’t bought anything yet, haha. I’m sure this will eventually change!
There’s one show that I discovered recently that only has a few episodes: 9-1-1 Lone Star. I’m a fan of medical shows and also police and firefighters. This is the perfect combination! What I’ve seen so far has been good and I hope this doesn’t get pulled before the season is over.
I’m still mostly listening to Home Free non-stop for the concert later this month, haha. Besides that though, Lady Antebellum has a new album. I love their music!
So my past two weeks haven’t been very exciting, haha. How have you been? Have you read any good books lately? Let me know in the comments! I hope everyone has a great week!
Love the update 🙂 Hunted is on my TBR, as well. Happy reading!

Hope we both enjoy it!
I love these life updates 🙂
Thank you 🙂
We like to give a little bit more of our personal life. It’s an extra touch we liked adding.
I always like getting to know bloggers a bit more with these types of posts
