We’re just about halfway through November and I’ve also seen the End of the Year Book Tag all over the place. Isabelle did this tag last week and it reminded me I should give it a go as well. Let’s take a look at my answers today in the End of the Year Book Tag Part 2.
Are there any books you started this year, you need to finish?
Do you have some time?!? I have so many books that I’ve started, but need to finish. I ‘m over half way done with Godsgrave and Otherworld. If I were to sit down for a bit, I’m sure I’d be able to finish these in no time.
I’ve also started Kingdom of Ash, Frost Like Night, A Curious Beginning and Dreams of Gods & Monsters. Typing this makes me realize how easily I get distracted. Or another way to look at it, is that I want to read all the books at once.
And my most recent adventures have made me start The Beautiful, Serpent & Dove and last but not least, Little White Lies! I’d say I have enough to finish, haha.
Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?
I don’t really have any transitions to the end of the year. I notice I start reading holiday themed books or darker fantasy stories. My favorites are always the cozy holiday books though. I love how they make me feel! This year I started with Pumpkinheads. Such a cute graphic novel!
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
December normally doesn’t have many new releases. There is one I’m really looking forward to though! Scared Little Rabbits by A.V. Geiger is one that’s on the top of my list. Two November releases I just received and really want to read next month are The Bromance Book Club and Get a Life, Chloe Brown!
What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
How can I only pick three?!? I need a few more weeks stuck to this year, haha. I really want to read Ninth House, Wayward Son and Sick Kids in Love.
Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your favorite?
I think there are quite a few books that could still shock me and get to the top of my favorites. I really want to read Five Dark Fates and depending how it ends that could definitely make it to the top of my list. Also, I have really high hopes for The Bromance Book Club! I hope it doesn’t disappoint!
Have you already made reading plans for 2020?
No major plans yet, but I have started thinking about my goals. Even though I passed my Goodreads goal pretty early, I’m going to stick to 200 books. I think I’ll put too much pressure on my reading otherwise. And next year, I really need to get to more of the “older” books on my shelves!
So this is my take on the End of the Year Book Tag! I can’t wait to see how my reading year will be in 2020. First I plan on enjoying all the holidays. I’m curious though, what book do you really want to read before the end of the year? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
