Candyce did a fun fall tag last week and I decided I wanted to do one as well! I really enjoy fall and I’m glad the weather is cooling down. And yesterday I had my first pumpkin spiced latte of the season <3. You can call me basic but I just love a good PSL and had been looking forward to them! Enough coffee talk, let’s get into this Finally Fall Book Tag that I found over at Zezee With Books.

In fall, the air is crisp and clear: Name a book with a vivid setting!

Zezee actually had the perfect answer for this question and I can’t come up with anything better haha. I Hate Fairyland by Skottie Young is a comic series with a very vivid setting. It’s super colorful, we travel through all the different part of Fairyland with Gert as she tries to find the way out so she can finally go home.

Nature is beautiful…but also dying: Name a book that is beautifully written, but also deals with a heavy topic like loss or grief.

These are not the type of books I usually pick up but two come to mind right away. First we have Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines. This is mostly a YA romance type of contemporary read but both characters deal with heavy topics and they are really well written. And the second book is Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I feel like everyone has heard of this book by now but I did want to mention it. This is such a heartbreaking story and I bawled my eyes out.

Fall is back to school season: Share a non-fiction book that taught you something new.

Something else I don’t read a lot of haha. I really enjoyed Quiet by Susan Cain and think a lot of people could learn something from that book. Last year I read at least 4 non fiction books but this year I’ve only read 2. So it might be time for me to pick up some more!

In order to keep warm, it’s good to spend some time with the people we love: Name a fictional family/household/friend-group that you’d like to be a part of.

I recently did a reread of Harry Potter so of course I wanted to be a part of the Weasley household! Preferably with an alternative ending where I’m Fred’s girlfriend and we get to live happily ever after ;). Or Charlie’s girlfriend, I’d be cool with that too haha.

Fall is the perfect time for some storytelling by the fireside: Share a book wherein somebody is telling a story.

In The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss our main character Kvothe tells his life story to us and I believe a writer. This is a very beloved book but I’m waiting to read the sequel because people have been waiting for the finale for 8,5 years….

The nights are getting darker: Share a dark, creepy read.

One of the darkest and creepiest books I recently read was Small Spaces by Katherine Arden. This is a MG horror and I was freaked out haha. I really enjoyed it and the sequel just released so I hope to read that one soon as well.

The days are getting colder: Name a short, heartwarming read that could warm up somebody’s cold and rainy day.

I just read the perfect book for that! Queens of Geek was such a wonderful, fast and heartwarming read. It’s set at a con, so a perfect setting for all of us fangirls&fanboys. I adored the representation in it and it also features youtubers which was super fun!

Fall returns every year: Name an old favourite that you’d like to return to soon.

So I already did my Harry Potter reread, which would’ve been perfect for fall but I couldn’t help myself haha. I think I might reread Fangirl soon and then Carry On before jumping into Wayward Son when it releases!

I’m kinda boring on this haha. I love to read in my bed or on the couch so I guess a nice blanket is all I really use. The blanket that came in the King of Scars box is my favorite ever so I will use that the most. And I have a ton of cute mugs for my favorite drink, tea haha.
