Tag| Are You Ready for Sweater Weather? The Autumn Tag

Since Sunday we’ve officially entered the “ber” months and I am so happy about that! I’m completely ready for Autumn: the cooler weather, rainy days, cozy evenings with a blanket and I could continue this list for ages. I know it’s not officially Autumn, but the tag already says it, am I ready?

I saw this tag on Jenniely‘s blog and tagged myself. She created this tag, so let’s take a look at Are You Ready for Sweater Weather? The Autumn Tag!

Hot Chocolate – what is your comfort book?

I’m going to sound like a broken record when answering this question, but Harry Potter is my comfort book. Even though I’ve read them quite a few times, I still discover new details. Also, reading them always feels like coming home!

Pumpkin Carving – what is your favourite creative outlet?

It’s been awhile since I’ve really done this, but I love my bullet journal. I’m definitely not the best at what I do, but I love being busy. Also, if you give me a coloring book and crayons, I would be very excited. Even as an adult, coloring is so relaxing!

Falling Leaves – changes that appear bad but you secretly love?

Hmm… this is a hard one! If I look at the books I love reading, I’d have to say enemies to lovers. Even though in many ways that may not be healthy at all, it creates a lot of funny moments in books. This is War is one of my favorites. Second chance romances can also be good or bad. I guess it depends on the situation!

Pumpkin Spiced Latte – something you love that others tend to judge

Like Jenniely already said, in many circles reading is frowned upon. I will never get that someone can think of reading as something bad. For me it’s such a great outlet to relax and use my imagination. Books have left a smile on my face so often!

Another thing is probably TV shows. I’m sure some readers will even say, why watch shows when you can read books? Just sitting down and watching while everything unfolds in front of my eyes. TV shows are the best when you’re not feeling well or are tired. It doesn’t take as much concentration and energy as reading does.

Bonfire Night – what makes you explode with joy?

One of the things that makes me explode with joy starts around this time of year. I love curling up with my kitties and boyfriend on a cold night. Add a blanket and good book and you’ll make me explode with joy!

Another thing that makes me explode with joy doesn’t start until later in the year, but Christmas movies. I’m someone who loves the Countdown to Christmas on Hallmark. Yes, I know they’re all predictable, but they make me happy!

Fright Night – favourite scary book or film

I’m normally not one that really enjoys scary books or movies. I recently read a middle grade book that was definietly spooky and had the perfect Halloween vibes. Small Spaces was so good! I’ll never look at scarecrows the same again.

The sequel, Dead Voices, came out last month and I’m hoping it’s just as spooky!

Halloween candy – favourite thing to eat

Seeing how the prompt is Halloween candy, I’ll stick more to something sweet. I don’t really have one favorite, but I have moods. Sometimes I’ll love something for quite awhile and then decide it’s time for something new. At the moment, I’m loving carrot cake. The frosting is very yummy!

Scarves – your autumn ‘must have’ accessory

There are two must have accessories for me in the cooler weather: my scarf and gloves. A couple years ago I got a really long scarf. It’s so soft and warm. Also one of the only reasons I’ll dare to face the cold, haha. You can ask my boyfriend, my hands turn into icicles in the colder months, haha. This year I need to look for a better pair of gloves.

Fire – a book or film that burns your soul

That’s really hard to answer. I am very passionate when it comes to a lot of books. I’m a fan of movies as well, but it’s not as intense. For me I’ll have to answer Throne of Glass or the LUX series at the moment. I’ll never get over how much I love them!

Toffee apples – a book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside

The Wicker King was definitely a book that seems one thing, but was a lot different on the inside. I was expecting some type of fantasy world and story/adventure. What I got was a very emotionally hard hitting book that I didn’t see coming. I need to read the sequel soon!

This tag definitely put me into an Autumn mood. Not that I needed much help! I tag everyone who loves Autumn. Don’t forget to let me know if you do this tag. I love seeing other people answer these prompts! What is your favorite thing about Autumn? Let me know in the comments!
