We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is a freebie! It actually took me awhile to think of a topic. In the ended I decided to go for Popular books I Still Need to Read. Let’s take a look!
Kingdom of Ash – Sarah J Maas I think this is the one I’m most ashamed of, haha. Isabelle and I went to the bookstore on release day to pick up a copy. I did start reading this and I’m about 200 pages in. Who knows why I haven’t finished it yet. Throne of Glass is one of my favorite series, so I think I just don’t want it to end!
Legendary – Stephanie Garber Caraval did kind of disappoint me, so I think I’ve been hesitant to pick this one up. I bought it right after it was released and I am curious. A lot of people have said that the sequel was one they enjoyed more than the first book.
Children of Blood and Bone – Tomi Adeyemi I actually just used Children of Blood and Bone for a picture on Bookstagram. Before this book was released there was so much hype around it. I’m honestly afraid my expectations are going to be too high. I bought this book so I could have it signed and meet the author. She was really sweet, so I do want to pick this one up.
Aurora Rising – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff Another book with a lot of hype before release. I think this was the case, because these authors wrote an amazing series together before Aurora Rising. I bought this book, but just haven’t had the time yet. I will be reading this Fall!
Godsgrave – Jay Kristoff Nevernight was such an amazing book that I actually just finished last week. This is a series you need to be in the mood for and I’m happy I finally decided to give it a go. Godsgrave is on my list for August. Readers have told me it ends with a major cliffhanger, so I’m happy I won’t have to wait long for Darkdawn.
Crazy Rich Asians – Kevin Kwan After the movie was released, I remember seeing this book everywhere. Crazy Rich Asians sounds like something I will love and I actually got this in a book swap I participated in last year.
Girls of Paper and Fire – Natasha Ngan I actually had this on my TBR last December, but then I got really sick. With a cold that bad, I knew reading a book like Girls of Paper and Fire wasn’t going to work. I want to be able enjoy everything and I have a feeling you need your full attention for a story like this.
Every Heart a Doorway – Seanan McGuire A few friends have read this series and loved it so far. I really don’t know why I haven’t read this one yet. The books aren’t long at all and the covers are gorgeous. I need to squeeze them in soon.
Renegades – Marissa Meyer The Lunar Chronicles is one of my favorite series and I picked up Renegades right after its release. It’s even been signed by the author. I know Isabelle loved this book when she picked it up. Another one I need to read soon!
Sorcery of Thorns – Margaret Rogerson Netgalley actually provided me with an ARC for this book. It’s still pretty new, so I haven’t had ages to read it. I see it everywhere though and Sorcery of Thorns sounds like something I will love! Hopefully I can read this one in September. Friends who read similar books as me have really enjoyed it so far.
These are honestly the first ten I could think of, so I’m sure there are plenty more I didn’t put down today. What topic did you used for you Top Ten Tuesday today? Feel free to leave your link in the comments!
