Tag | The Summer Bucket List Book Tag

Even though the temperatures are a bit cooler as I’m typing this, it’s definitely still Summer. This season is flying by, but we can still enjoy it for a bit longer. I was tagged to do The Summer Bucket List Book Tag by Felicia from Bookishly Slytherclaw. This tag was originally created by Read By Tiffany.

The Rules
  • Link back to the original creator in your post.
  • Feel free to use any of my graphics in your post, or create your own!
  • Tag 5 other people at the end of your post, and let them know you’ve tagged them. – I am never good at tagging people, so feel free to tag yourself. If you do, please let me know. I always love seeing how others answer these questions!

Hit the Beach
A Book Set by the Water

Underwater is a book not only set by the water, but also spends a lot of time in the water. The cover definitely shows the type of place the story takes place in. I enjoyed the setting of this book, but the plot was a bit weak for me unfortunately!

Watch Fireworks
A Book That Had a Firey Romance

Such Great Heights has a firey romance! Jasper and Malka take awhile to find each other, but once they do it’s definitely on fire. This author knows how to write some steamy scenes and the chemistry between these two is amazing! I definitely recommend this book and series.

Go For a Roadtrip
A Book That Involves a Journey

A Curse so Dark and Lonely has a few journeys in the storyline. There are a few adventures and quite a bit happens. This book really impressed me and I’m so looking forward to the sequel. A Curse so Dark and Lonely is a Beauty and the Beast retelling and one of the best retellings I’ve read!

Camp Under the Stars
A Book That Left You StarStruck

The Parallax is a book that left me star struck. This story has a few storylines that are all connected in one way or another. I am mostly star struck, because the author does this in a way that really makes you think. It’s amazing how everything fits together and I’ve come to love all the characters. Add some twists and turns I didn’t see coming and I’m hooked. I need the next book now!

Marathon Some Movies
A Book You Couldn’t Put Down

The last book I couldn’t put down, was Killing November! A boarding school with an eye for an eye policy and students that turn up dead. I was very intrigued and needed to know how this story would end. There is a lot of family history and interesting worldbuilding that makes me want more. The sequel can’t come soon enough!

Go Out for Ice Cream
A Book with a Sweet Romance

I have a feeling this book will be added to a lot of lists this year. Red, White and Royal Blue is a book that still makes me smile when I think about it. It’s definitely one of my favorite romances this year! If you’re looking for a feelgood book with amazing characters, definitely pick up this one!

Picnic in the Park
A Book That Was a Breath of Fresh Air

The Boy Next Story was a breath of fresh air. I loved all the book references and how books played such a big part in this story! I love when books can be a bit serious, but still leave you feeling light and happy when you’re done. I read The Boy Next Story in one sitting and hope this author writes more!

Go For a Hike
A Character Who Conquered an Obstacle

If any character conquered an obstacle it’s the main characters in Switchback! Ashton and Vale get seperated from their classmates during a hike when a storm hits. A lot happens and it’s not even sure they’ll survive. They hit a lot of bumps on their journey, so plenty of obstacles. I couldn’t put this book down!

Grill Some BBQ
A Book Featuring Delicious Food

Heartless is a book that has a lot of sweets that sounds really good! Our main character likes to bake and some of the creations are some I would love to try. I don’t know how safe it would be to try them though, because this is an Alice and Wonderland retelling!

Watch the Sunrise
A Book That Inspired You

A book that inspired me is The Mighty Heart of Sunny St. James. Our main character, the 12 year old Sunny needs a heart transplant and an unique family situation! Sunny is very brave and strong. I think it shows many people if a girl her age can fight they way she did, we can overcome a lot of issues we run into!

This tag was a lot of fun! I don’t have my own summer bucket list, but I’m sure many people do. Do you have a summer bucket list? I would love to hear about it!
