Review| The Hookup Handbook – Kendall Ryan

If you’ve been following the blog for awhile now, you know I’m a big fan of Kendall Ryan! Tuesday was the release day of The Hookup Handbook. A big thanks to the author for providing me an ARC to read and review. Today I want to tell you what I thought of this author’s newest book!

A hot new brother’s best friend standalone romance from New York Times best selling author Kendall Ryan is live available everywhere.

About The Hookup Handbook

My love wand is on a strike.

As bad as that blows, pun unintended, it’s ten times worse for me. I’m a male escort, but not just any escort, I’m the escort. The one with a mile-long waiting list and a pristine reputation that’s very well-deserved.

Only now, I’m on hiatus. Because after years of pleasing women all over the city, my man missile decides to get finicky. And the only woman he wants? Someone I can never have—my best friend’s younger sister, the nerdy and awkwardly adorable Sienna.

She’s working at the agency this summer, keeping me organized, handling paperwork, and most importantly, keeping me on track to finish writing my book about sex and intimacy, which is due to my publisher in thirty days.

She thinks I hate her, that I don’t want her here. The truth is much more twisted. I get hard every time she walks into my office. Her wide blue eyes and pouty mouth drive me wild with desire, and if she stays, I’m not sure how much longer I can stay away from her.

Little Miss Overachiever says she’s here to help? Fine. I’m going to put her nerdy, curvy tush to work.

Kendall Ryan is good at making you love her characters and that didn’t change with The Hookup Handbook. Case is only 28, but owns and runs his own successful escort business. Except at the moment he’s more behind the scenes, because certain body parts are letting him down. Sienna is Case’s best friend’s sister and she needs a job for the summer after graduating. She may have a trust fund, but doesn’t want her parents’ money, she needs to do this on her own.

We all know how these stories go. They start working together and there’s an attraction. The Hookup Handbook is perfect at describing how this feels for both of them (all because of the amazing dual POV) and at certain moments you just need for them to get together. I loved watching this all develop. Yes, there’s some drama, but it fits this book perfectly. Everything building up in the “will they, won’t they” was so much fun to read. Teasing, flirting and the fun banter makes this book amazing!

Also, I love these characters. Sienna really wants to work hard and find something she loves for herself. She doesn’t see her body as a typical dancer’s body, but Case helps her realize she is beautiful and an amazing dancer. Seeing her work with the little kids at the dance studio, brought a smile to my face every single time.

Case may be an escort, but he mostly started this business, because he knew how hard his mother had it when he was growing up. Money was tight and he never wants to experience that again. Also, Case’s mother is his priority, she needs to be comfortable as well. Case is so sweet! He may seem like a macho, but watching him realize he may be set on a different path was really interesting. Case also never expected to be a one woman man, so watching him experience different feelings is so sweet!

The Hookup Handbook is a book you can’t put down and it’s so worth it! It’s filled with humor, flirting, sexy times and some emotional ones. Everything you need in a romance can be found in this book!
