We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books On My Spring 2019 TBR. I don’t usually make a TBR for myself as I can never hold myself to it. But I do have a couple of books I plan on reading in the next couple of months. Hopefully I can actually manage to get to all of these. Lets take a look at them!
1. Red, White & Royal Blue – Casey McQuiston
I got an eArc of this one through Netgalley and I can hardly stop myself from starting it right this second. After seeing a couple of raving reviews this was on my radar and I had to try and get a copy through Netgalley. Luckily the publisher was kind enough to grant me access. While I’m not the biggest romance fan, this one just sounds like the best one I could ever want. I plan on reading it in April and it will probably be the start of April haha.
2.The Devouring Gray – Christina Lynn Herman
I hardly ever preorder books but I’ve got this one preordered since the beginning of the year. After seeing an early review by SuperSpaceChick I knew this was one for me. The synopsis sounds intriguing enough and look at that cool cover! Hopefully this will live up to my expectations.
3&4.Legendary & Finale – Stephanie Garber
I haven’t read Legendary yet but I preordered Finale yesterday. All three of the books in this series have a really cool naked hardback in the UK edition. So I decided I had to get book 3 as soon as possible. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Caraval but almost everyone says Legendary is better. So I’m trusting all of you and hope I will enjoy Legendary better so I have an excuse for buying Finale haha.
5.A Curse So Dark and Lonely – Brigid Kemmerer
While this one sounded interesting I wasn’t really planning on buying it to be honest. However, I’d seen a couple of very positive reviews and my friend Melissa managed to convince me to get it. Candyce and I plan on reading it next month as the author will visit the facebook group TBR & Beyond.
6.LIFEL1K3 – Jay Kristoff
As you could see yesterday, I got LIFEL1K3 for my birthday last week. I would love to see what all the hype is about, as I haven’t read a Jay Kristoff book yet (Not including the Illuminae series as thats co-authored). The sequel is coming out relatively soon as well so it will be nice to be caught up by then. Candyce really enjoyed this one so I have high hopes.
7&8.Nevermoor & Wundersmith – Jessica Townsend
Nevermoor has been on my TBR for quite a while. And usually I don’t buy the sequel before reading at least the first book in a series. You never know, you might not like these books at all. But this series comes with a gorgeous naked hardback and Nevermoor was pretty hard to get in that edition. So I wanted to get Wundersmith before it wasn’t available anymore. I plan on reading both of these in May, Candyce and I have a little themed reading month planned which we will reveal soon!
9.The Hate U Give – Angie Thomas
I have been planning on reading this since it came out. But I kept pushing it off and off and now is really the time to pick it up. Candyce and I will probably be buddy reading this next month and I’m excited to finally read this important book. I plan on watching the movie pretty soon after!
10.Wintersong – S. Jae-Jones
A couple of Candyce and my friends are planning on doing a buddyread for this one in the next couple of weeks. We all had this one on our TBR and another friend just finished it and urged us to read it as well. I have seen some very mixed reviews so I’m excited to make up my own mind. It will also be fun to read it with so many friends!
So these are 10 books I have on my Spring TBR. This might actually be something I can achieve! But I won’t hold myself to it, as I like to read whatever I’m interested in at that moment. Have you read any of these? Or do you plan on reading them? Let me know in the comments!
