We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

We’ve had a mostly quiet two weeks here. We did have the opportunity to try out a new escape room that was doing trial runs before it opens to the public this week. It was a lot of fun and we made it out in a little under 51 minutes! Last week I was down for the count and not feeling well. Thankfully I’m feeling better and only have to work today or tomorrow before our vacation starts!

It’s been another two weeks filled with some fun ARC approvals (11) and I’m very grateful to publishers: Home for the Homicides (ALC), Between the Lines, Fangs, The Third Street Book Club, Sweetly Unhinged, Teammates to Lovers, Worth Playing For, Raven’s Wrath, All Together Now, My Fairy Godlover, and The Unrequited Love Department.

I’m currently reading: Keeping Score, The Winged Game, All In, and A Summer of Stars.

Up next I want to read: Pink Ink, Blood & Betrayals, and Fall I Want.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve finished reading: Kiss Me Maybe, If Not for My Baby, The Arcane Arts, A Sign of Affection Vol. 11 (reread), A Sign of Affection Vol. 12, Wyatt, Mudlark, The Moon on a Rainy Night Vol.5, Bourbon Lullaby, Beth Is Dead, and The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love.

Last week I picked the movie The Breadwinner. It was just a feel good comedy and just what I needed that day. Sometimes you just need a good laugh.

My mother and I are still watching 7th Heaven together and are now on the second season! I know I watched some of this show as a teenager, but I don’t remember when I started watching. So it’ll be interesting to see how much I actually missed.

I actually haven’t really been listening to anything these last couple of weeks, but I really need to start with Evanescence. The fiancé and I see them live in a little over a week, so I need to start setting the mood!
